Since the Oxygen OS 12 has been completely redesigned, I've noticed some minor changes throughout my Settings. But a few changes are something I've noticed and feel like a downgrade.
I'll list them here :
1) The accent color menu doesn't have the custom color code option anymore. Ya sure, the new Design is about making it lighter but that doesn't mean you take away features from the phone. This has always been unique to OnePlus phones. said:
2) The home screen had an App Icon edit feature that was so perfect for hiding apps. Like, for example, i could make WhatsApp look like Instagram. All this features were really cool and removing them because of the ColorOS integration is not at all appreciated. I really hope OnePlus brings these features back soon with a follow-up upgrade.
3) The Hidden Space for apps is really inconvenient. Going to the dialer each time to open it. Minimizing a hidden app, makes it disappear from the recents. So I've to again open dialer and do it all over again. Please bring it back to as it was formerly, On the right swipe in app drawer.
4) Also, the Lock App feature, i.e. locking an app in recents so that I don't accidentally clear it when i press the clear all apps/clear recents, it goes away. Like for example , i always lock Spotify, so that I don't accidentally close it. It's not allowing to lock when battery saver is ON -_-. I have a habit of always having it ON 24x7. What has it locking screen to do with Power Saving mode.
5) Lock Screen Timeout- the phone immediately locks itself once the screen is off. There's always been an option to modify this. The screen used to lock after 2 mins of not being used. I've to unlock my phone just so many times every other minute after i keep it on my table. it's just so annoying.
6) The biggest issue at hand is the Screen Timeout and refresh rate

Every time I charge my phone, it automatically goes back to 15secs and Standard. I don't get why my phone automatically goes back to 60Hz as maximum just because i turn on power saving. 120Hz is also a dynamic mode anyways, right ? Then why is it changing my settings itself all the time. Since 60Hz vs 120Hz is noticeable, please change this functionality, since i didn't buy this for a 60Hz experience.
all in all, please bring back some of the little functionalities, they meant a lot to OnePlus users. after so many years of OnePlus, it's just so disheartening to see a OnePlus device like this 😭😭. Please bring back our Oxygen OS ❤️. We don't want an Oppo.
