    Guys please someone answer cant i install oxygen os 2.2.0 on an unlocked non rooted OPT ? As i said before my os is or was 2.1.0 when i bought the device .....now as i missed two updates,it wont update anymore.....do i have to root the device to update ?

    I bought the oneplus 2 phone since I sold my oneplus one, I really like it but I gave it to my wife since I cant use my amazon prime music app! WHYYYYYYYYYYY!!!! ); hope this update will fix that issue....

    No you don't have to root your device. If your phone is rooted you don't get updates via ota.

    amazon music and amazon video work fine for me.

    Edit: Download amazon music apk from Amazons appstore because Google playstore means that your device (One+2) is not compatible.

    Loved the opo but unfortunately the op2 is an awful phone supported by even worse software. Selling mine and getting a phone which has decent software team behind it. Oneplus customer interaction and speed of updates to fix issues is laughable.

    I had a OPX and wanted to get a OP2. Reason more internal memory and larger screen.
    But after I read the forum here, I'm not sure if I should pick up the telephone. These many errors that are described here, I do not need. I'm used to purchase a device and it works flawlessly.
    I am confused and think about my old phone (I Phone 6) to continue to use.
    What would you do?

    I would advise you to buy an OnePlus 2 if OxygenOS would not be as crappy. Ouh wait, iOS is as shitty.You really have a tough choice.

    Then go to the OnePlus 2 thread on XDA and take your pick, personally I would recommend SkyDragon for the moment as it is based on latest Oxygen with integrated apps and will let you pick and choose what apps you want by default :

    Anyone having problems with a phone should be looking at YouTube, XDA and Google before posting here tbh, that's how you learn how to fully utilise your phone.

    With Oxyslim your soft keys do not respond properly, causes a lot of heating even if the phone is not used

    1.Drag a notifictation bar all way down.
    2. tap on the Sun Icon next to the brightnes slider
    3. Clound icon appears, now Your slider is for adjusting screen temperature.
