Oneplus should allow updates even when the phone is rooted but still on the Original Rom.
I don't care if i have to re root my phone after the Update. But it should be a feature.

i guess this is simply not possible because of customization's you could have done with root...

if they patch a file which has been customized the phone wont boot anymore - the same behavior when you are using a custom kernel etc...

    Problem is 2.2.0 ROM.
After I update, my phone after some time change to laggy black box, like a old film. I bought 2 devices and on other one has the same problem. So I say: Stop doing this, you peace of shit" and revert back to 2.1.2 (of course, in that version are other bugs, but for every day working is for me better).

    So, why I wrote it:
In past I had OnePlus One - I change it for OnePlus Two (biggest mistake in my life). OPO had CyanogenMod, and it was the better feauture of the phone. Running like a rocket, many many settings and customization.

For me is only two solutions for change my mind about that OPO - Fixed, tunned and of course tested version of Oxygen OS, or - for me better way - officialy support by Cyanogen and Cyanogen OS. Tahts my wish.

    New user with some questions

So i got my OPT last thursday i've noticed som really annoying problems
The software is up to date with 2.2.0
    1. Gmail app won't support exchange mail or calendar - why?
A so called flagship killer should support this native.
    2. Screen doesn't light up with texts or email (settings?)
    3. The phone doesn't register missed calls (how is this even possible?)
If the screen is locked it will register it, but if 'í'm talking to someone the phone will let the second call through but if i can't answer if won't register it as a missed call
    4. BT sync with my car doesn't work flawless, it won't register who's calling by name until i have answered the call (not a real problem but annoying)
    5. Why isn't the a badge notification system for email and texts like iOS?

Hopefully some of these will be fixed with Android 6.0 until then i don't have the confidence to use it in my work and i'll leave it on the box for now

    1. Gmail app is not product of OnePlus - for using Exchange account go to settings - accounts - add exchange
    2. I think that you cant customized by settings now.
    3. When you used phone and see, if you somebody call, you no need to see missed call I think.
    5. Because its not iOS?

Android 6 have some usefull things, or alternative OS too (like Cyanogen).

    1. gmail does support exchange activesync
    2. oxygen is vanilla android and vanilla android does not support this
    3. yep have noticed this too
    4. now we can discuss where the problem is - on the server (OP2) or Client side (Car etc...) i know that syncing works on many cars - and does not work on many cars (as mine). because of this i'm using an app called Bluetooth Phonebook - with this app i'm bypassing it...
    5. because it's Google Android and not Apple's IOS?

I also feel some improvements are required in the latest oxygen. there are many features missing like recording an voice call. this special feature was available in my previous phone and I find this very useful.
