What about the CPU usage...The Snapdragon 810 was an Octa core processor.. The 4 High performance core never fire together after last update no matter what I throw at it... Only 2 high performance cores work together... Causing minor stutters in games and AnTuTu scores dropping by almost 10-15k.... Essentially reducing the Snapdragon 810 to a Snapdragon 808...What is the use of putting a Snapdragon 810 if it was gonna function like a Snapdragon 808 in the 1st place...??

Nope it's not normal. I have a couple of other phones and when they are updated, they are blazingly fast right after the update. It's just Oxygen OS I guess.

Yes I got it tonight, however the performance has settled down after 10 minutes

Go to recovery, clear cache and try again. That's the trick. It usually works.

Yes it took about 10 minutes after the phone booted fully and did a second update, it then settled down

Its does get activated but only 2 at a time...Essentially functioning like a Snapdragon 808...But yes sometimes I have seen the A57 not getting activated specially if it ever enters the battery saver mode..after that even with disabled battery saver the A57 are not up till a restart...And even then only 2 cores fore together alternately and not all 4 A57s at once causing choppiness in Real Racing 3 and decrease in AnTuTu scores after 2.1.2

Alright! Let us know, what other bugs you're facing and how's the gaming performance, that is if you play games.

    1. So that you can switch between any of the four a57 rather than stuck with 2.

Why wouldn't all 4 A57 cores fire at once..?? Its a Snapdragon 810 for God's sake...If had to buy a Snapdragon 808 phone...I would have gone for that ...Isn't it..??

snapdragon 810 is NOT an octa-core processor.
I have not heard of any device with a "TRUE" octa-core processor
there are 8 cores. they are divided into big and little
the little cores don't do anything when the big cores are active

proof :- in geekbench, sd 801 scores 1000+ in single core test . given that it's true octa-core, it should score 8000+ points but it only scores 4000+ meaning its quad-core with big.little

and more cores does not mean more performance. no app can use 8 cores

more gigahertz does not mean more performance

cpu performance is dependent upon it's price

it's already confirmed that it's a hardware fault. go to the service center or request an rma.
    it's normal.
just wait for a few minutes. charge your phone until then.
    go to boeffla
that's not a demanding game at all.
make sure your cpu and battery temps are normal and battery is over 30 %
thanks. merry Christmas and happy new year

Powering all four at once could result in enormous amount of heat leading to throttling. But if you can switch 2 among four and still maintain performance I would rather choose that.

That's what i am saying man, it's bull s**t. I mean OnePlus 2 is not a cheap phone and this is totally unacceptable. Agreed if we buy a phone for 100$ or maybe 250$, we shouldn't set our expectations high, but oneplus 2 costs around 400 freaking $. When we are spending that much money, obviously we'll be expecting at least decent gaming performance but this is like a slap to our faces. First, spend 400$ and then spend countless hours wasting time flashing kernels and stuff, just to make our phones run smoother.
