    Berg P. , Sep 12, 2016 :
    Hi everyone,

We appreciate everyone’s feedback from the OxygenOS 3.1.0 community build. With your help, we’ve better optimized the build and improved in several areas. Here are some changes in OxygenOS 3.1.1 Community build for the OnePlus X:
    • Added ability to move apps to SD card
    • Improved touch responsiveness, speed, and accuracy
    • Improved HFR setting in video capture
    • Implemented September Android security patches
    • General bug fixes
    Known issues:
    • SD card stability
      • “Move to SD card” in settings sometimes does not work
      • Apps/device may crash if you remove the SD card tray
    Visit the download page here:

If you are already using the 3.1.0 Community Beta, you will receive an OTA shortly. If you have not flashed 3.1.0, you can flash this build by ADB sideload. While your data may transfer, there is always a possibility of losing personal data, so be sure to backup all of your important data before flashing this build. Once you flash the community build, you’ll continue getting community OTAs. Please follow the links below for the experience survey and bug reporting sheet. We’d really appreciate a few minutes of your time, as it will help us make OxygenOS better. One last thing: this is a limited program, so we may disable this download link once we receive enough feedback.

Note: If you flash this community build, you’ll receive community OTAs (but not official OTAs). You’ll need to manually (clean) flash back to our official builds to continue receiving official OTAs. Rolling back to official OxygenOS versions require wiping data and cache.

Thank you for helping us build a better OxygenOS.

    Never settle.

Sorry to keep you waiting. I apologize for the confusion. I have just confirmed from the specialist that TWRP is compatible with the new rollout.

Wait.. I don't understand. If I manually flash the zip file (and do a clean wipe after finish updating), will I still be getting the official OTA for future update?

Thanks. I was so confused when the admin said about receiving the community OTA and not the official ones.

I understood that you won't, you'll need to re-flash official release when released. You will only get community builds over OTA.

You will get all community releases OTA while using 3.x

When this release goes final, you will need to flash 2.2 to get OTA of final 3.1

Chances are you won't lose anything but make a backup in case.

That we can't answer, I'd assume it will range in the 300 mb file size but only the devs can answer that for sure.

OP stated that all users of the community build (3.1.0) will get the final OTA as well once it's done. So flashing the community build should not force you to revert to 2.2 before being able to get the final 3.1 OTA.
It's even stated in the FAQ on the download page.

Hmm, but it contradicts what has been said for 3.1.0 (there was no such info that one needs to revert to official first). I'm confused :( So I guess even without flashing 3.1.1 but staying on 3.1.0 will never bring one into the official OTA?

Perhaps and I mean " perhaps" 3.0 was different. I do not know for sure.

This release however is clearly stated.
