VPN to the United States also seems to do the trick.

Because it is encrypted afterwards and you are not able to access it anywhere else and I don't know how it behaves with updates

What do you mean? I know I won't be able to remove the SD card once the memories are fused, but I won't want to, I just want more internal storage. Apps moved to external memory automatically move back when updated.

OTA from 3.3.1 cb to 3.1.2 confirmed.

I just got it (Germany). It's incremental, only less than 2 mb.

This confirmation is valid for stock OnePlus X on 3.3.1 CB oxOS.

Security patches are released to OEMs before the security bulletin is out, so that can happen. It's not the first time BTW.

Just got the 3.1.2-OTA coming from 2.2.3.
Unfortunately Google Play Store keeps crashing, I can't even open it. Google Play Services keep complaining about a newer version. Also apps from SD-card are gone.
    So far I'm not thrilled...

I was able to fetch the official zip under Support / Downloads section yesterday. Google Play Services offered an update immediately after booting up and everything is working fine.
Just wanted to thank the development team for delivering this smooth and stable update and not giving up considering the amount of bitching princesses in the OnePlus X community.

Also wanted to bring out that even though I haven't tested 4G/LTE speed recently, you can see that I'm getting more or less the theoretical maximum (150/50Mbps) of the Snapdragon chipset here in Estonia (uppermost value on the screenshot), compared to last year's 35/40Mbps (lowermost value on the screenshot).

And I also wanted to highlight that even 1 year after OnePlus X release I haven't found a competitive smart phone with a better value to price ratio in our market at least. I guess it depends on your specific needs of course.

Keep calm and be happy with Marshmallow. Even Lollipop was stable and smooth, so I don't generally get why there is so much negativity in the OnePlus X community.

At the time of download the file was called OnePlus X OxygenOS 3.1.2 on the download page so without community build, so I'm guessing it is the stable Marshmallow release.
