Tony L., Oct 17, 2016 : Hi all, We appreciate everyone’s feedback from the OxygenOS 3.5.3 Community Build. With your help, we have optimized and improved several key areas. This update includes: Added new App Lock feature Fixed keyguard crashes when enabling sim card lock in multiple languages Optimized accent colors in default themes Optimized translations for certain languages Improved the quality of expanded screenshots Increased system stability General bug fixes As some of the early users who have previously visited this thread and flashed 3.5.4 onto their devices have experienced blinking screens and sim lock issues, we have immediately ceased the ota process and disabled the download link. Upon investigation, we have found that the problem was caused by translation errors of certain languages in the localization process and quickly compiled a new version to resolve the issue. As some of you might already know, the community beta program was founded on the fundamental principle of co-creation and allowing eager users to get their hands on the latest software features that we have to offer, while this maybe an innovative and daring step towards enhancing the interaction with our users, there are inherent risks that cannot be avoided in this approach of engagement. And while each and every software release undergoes our rigorous testing procedures, there is no guarantee that the updates are completely free from bugs and issues, and this is precisely why we need valuable inputs and insights from you to improve our software so that a broader range of customers can enjoy stable, reliable and smooth software experiences on our official releases. Of course, it is both irresponsible and dishonest to say that we have no accountability in this incident, but we really are a very young company and the only way forward is to learn from our mistakes and for that, we need your utmost understanding and patience. We deeply apologize for any inconveniences caused and please if you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact me. Sincere apologies and never settle, Tony. Visit the download page here: http://downloads.oneplus.net/oneplus-3/oneplus_3_oxygenos_3.5.4_community_build/ If you’ve already flashed a previous community build, you will receive this update via OTA. If you haven’t, you will need to flash this build by ADB sideload. Your data my transfer, but there is always a possibility of losing personal data, so be sure to backup all of your important data before flashing this build. As stated before, once you flash the community build, you’ll continue getting community OTAs. Please follow the links below for the experiential survey and bug reporting sheet. We’d really appreciate a few minutes of your time, as it will help us make OxygenOS even better. One last thing: this is a limited program, so we may disable this download link once we receive enough feedback. - Feedback on UI/UX: https://goo.gl/forms/BioIINdnCsUhTauc2 - Bug reporting sheet: https://goo.gl/forms/P2DPrEqQWIafmyyE3 Note: If you flash this community build, you’ll receive community OTAs (but not official OTAs). You’ll need to manually (clean) flash back to our official builds to continue receiving official OTAs. Rolling back to official OxygenOS versions require wiping data and cache. Thank you for helping us build a better OxygenOS.
