Yes, of course, what I'm saying is that if you do not wipe the data, you will not have any loss of data.
So wipe system = no data loss
    ;)

moving objects will appear clean and not like a trailing mess behind the subject, it used to work and suddenly stopped

When updating OOS roms, I wipe cache & dalvik before flashing the full update rom. Should I also be wiping system then?

Wait away my friend, if instead you did a little bit of reading you'd know,
    1. This update has stopped
    2. A new update 4.1.3 is out
    3. How to install that update immediately.
But hey that'd require effort on your part.

    Nope

to resume 1 or 2 = no data wipe:
1/ Wipe cache and dalvik :
Flash rom and su, reboot system

2/ Wipe cache, dalvik and system :
Flash rom, twrp, reboot twrp and flash su, reboot system

Because Wipe system will lose twrp and get stock recovery and no root.

I was running the open beta 3 prior to this.. And long back I didn't have any idea what open beta and what OTA is... Am just a normal phone user, but I have a general understanding thanks to these 1+ forums.. I got to learn.

hi guys after 4.1.3 system was little bit stable where as the battery drain and heating are same as earlier. even after update also these problems are not rectified and a new issue was faced. after deleting any file/s the space is not showing it is coming only after reboot. try to fix these three problems at least in next update please

You might want to try moving over to the 4.1.3 thread.

Why ask this in the 4.1.1 release thread?

    This was after flashing 4.1.1?

OxygenOS 4.1.1 Can not set alarm tone
No matter how I set, can not change the alarm ring, it will always return to the "none ring" state, the problem since the upgrade to android 7.0 exists, I have been using the official ROM

go to settings -> apps -> system update -> clear cache
then, file manager -> android -> data -> com.oneplus.ota -> delete all files
    try again

4.1.1 caused the problem. 4.1.3 solved it again
