This is possibly the slowest update thread I have seen, it's normally up to 40+ pages by now.

OK so I was sifting through my device after updating it to 4.5.1, trying to find some changes. And I stumbled upon something very weird (and troubling to some) - all the apps on my phone - I repeat - ALL the apps were running simultaneously!
I make sure that only a few apps which I use run at a time. And I check the all apps page quite frequently. Also there are quite a few apps which I haven't used for about half a month which were active and had no reason to be - apps which had no permission for data usage even. And it gets weirder - even disabled apps were running!
I went to developer options page and selected "at max 4 processes" in background. That didn't work.
I had to force close all ~90 apps out of 120 on my phone manually.
I don't know if it is a bug or intentional, but this might lead to severe battery drain.

Try this strategy...i keep apk files for all the apps i use..i uninstall the seldom used apps and later install them when i need them via the kept apk files. This is to minimize apps installed more apps.. more services.. more background...more battery...theres a lot of guide how to optimize your phone in the internet...mine are just basic.

To identify something as a bug, first you have to understand how Android works, which obviously you don't.

Android runs in the background any app it finds necessary so later when u will actually need this specific app it will open in a minimum time period. So you cannot say that this or that shouldn't run in the background, as this is something that the OS decides.

After all, why do u have 6Gb of Ram if you don't use it?

The Oreo is now in beta...this OTA is Nougat stable releases...if your in beta you can have OTA for Oreo beta. If you want beta you can go to beta thread forum and has a lot of guides in them. Cheers.

These are the 2 changes I found after updating to 4.5.1

    1. New option on selfie camera option. I call it beauty mode (circled red) & slider option (marked yellow) to determine the softeness of the skin

    2. The size of the options under file manager has increased

I used to get 5-5,5hours of SoT on 4.5.0. But since the update i can only max it out on 3,3hours. I have cleared all cache both in apps and on the phone on restart. And ive been through 5 charge cycles since the update and its not getting better.

I still love the phone not gonna be a kid and blame the world for beeing unfair. But i hope for the next update to bring the awesome battery time and SoT back.

    No complain, just an observation.

    Keep up the good work

    Never settle.
