I also had battery issues right after the previous updates with Google Play Services and Android system eating most of the resources. In all cases, wiping the cache (in recovery mode) solved the issue. You won't lose any data and the next day, the battery drain issue is over. This version gives me the best standby drain so far.

Just updated since a few hours, I've to wait to see...

    I agree.
After each update: clearing app cache via settings/memory, and system cache via recovery.

I'm noticing a slight improvement in battery life and a bit smoother performance all around. 4K video performance is the big winner here. If you want to smoothen performance and improve battery life even more check out the thread here on enabling developer options.

This handset just keeps getting better and better for me!

Thank you, dear sir! I followed your steps and in an instant the update was available! And I think I will keep opera VPN, I think it will be quite handy.

I went back to 4.5.5 and now updated to 4.5.6 incremental. Battery seems much better in the last one hour of use. One more issue on 4.5.7 was standby battery use. 9-10% straight down in 8hrs.

I will follow the app cache clean via settings the next time. I did clean the cache through recovery after install.

Just as a reminder, one can also update by downloading the OTA file, saving on the root of /sdcard, then going to the System Updates page, clicking on the gear, and finally on "local upgrade".

The brightness level in a dark room is yet too uncomfortable. It really strains the eye. The lowest setting off auto brightness in OP3/3T was great. This should really be fixed
