Question... when you skip an update, like 4.7.4 for instance, and install 4.7.6, does 4.7.6 also include system updates from the previous? I.E... if something is fixed in 4.7.4, and you skip it, will the fix carry over into the 4.7.6 update?

I thought someone mentioned that the stock SMS app for these phones allowed group messaging after an update. Mine still wont after 4.7.6. Maybe I misread something? I like using the google messaging app, but it doesnt show an icon on the ambient screen, which is annoying.

A fix in a previous version would obviously be carried over to the next version as there won't be any code changes to that.

I wasnt sure if the update carried all of the information for all previous updates. Since the size seems to change depending what you are doing. OTA incremental update is smaller than the full download/flash update. This is what i was asking. Obviously if you apply an update, and there was a fix, that fix will remain in place for the next update. But I wasnt sure if you SKIP an update, if any fixes in that would be applied whenever you update again.

OTA updates , especially the smaller zip size on will only carry the changes made over to the previous update .
Hence if you skip update 1 with a fix and try to update 2 ,then that update to will have that fix .
If you are still sceptical then go for the full rom zip file install instead of the smaller one.

Nope...I feel thats how it SHOULD work haha. I was just confirming. Ive never skipped an update before, but the 4.7.4 had such bad reviews I wouldnt do it.

I just need to confirm if the group messaging was fixed in the stock SMS app or not. If not, then there is no issue. If it was fixed in 4.7.4, then I def didnt get that fix in 4.7.6.

    Thanks!

This is the reason I upgraded to 4.7.4 when I heard 4.7.6 was being released
