    Yes you can, but do take backup of all your data, even internal storage. Because there are chances that you would have to do a factory reset once you upgrade to OxygenOS 5.0.1 as it's a really big update. :)

    Take backup of all your data & you may proceed to install the OTA ;)

    After the latest update, I yet have much consumption of battery because of data connection on 4g.. What could be the reason?

    That you've not long updated? All updates take a little while to settle give it at least 3-4 full charge cycles and then come back

    145mb is for OnePlus 3T.

    the update in back and this time there's no "harmful app" notification. It seems OnePlus has solved the problem. Cheers.

    It's Google who resolved the issue after oneplus reported to them about it.

    Currently I'm on 4.5.1 and I'm getting around 3.30 hrs of SoT.
    So is the new update gonna improve the battery performance?

    It depends on the usage patterns / apps installed / the way phone is configured etc.
    And varies from one phone to another.

    I did do abt 5 full charges meanwhile, so don't know. Did clean cache after the update also

    Try a factory reset and check.
    Do back up all important data before making the same.
