Download the full rom zip file from OnePlus site and flash it manually without any wipe again and see.

Also make sure you push VoLTE "ON" in SIM&network settings and also your area has Airtel VoLTE coverage

Why can't I get an answer or reply on why my volume randomly decreases while talking on speaker phone or listening to any media at all through the main speaker. The earpiece is just fine no problems.it all happened when I got the next to last nougat update and has been going on ever since.

Hey bro... Two things I just realized.
I was listening to podcast at workplace using my headphone for most of the time and other time the phone was sitting idle at my desk. I realized battery reached near 15% so I thought about recharging so that I leave my office with full battery. I plugged in my dash charger like all days and well it did started to charge my phone but their wasn't any fast charging icon. I thought may be it was indeed fast charging, just not showing up but as 30 mins went by and my phone didn't crossed 30% mark I realized it was indeed just being charged normally as if it was from a normal USB C charger. I did everything that many users suggested in forums;from cleaning the cable to my charger ports with pins and few other things but 2as of no use. To check the issue, I used the same charger with my friend's 3t and it worked fine.

Second thing, as I plugged out my headphones and played the music on speaker... It was terrible. The speakers were sounding as if someone had pierced then with a pin, sound was breaking and pushing it beyond 50% was a punishment for the ears.

Not sure if either of these may be related to the downgrade yesterday. Any suggestions?

    Fix what?
Because a user complains doesn't mean that all other users have problems.
    Generalisation doesn't do any good.

Fix issue that many have been facing since Oreo update. You put it right that there's notthing to fix it a "user" is facing issue but it's not so. There are many who have been facing issue and yes many of them have done a clean flash followed by hard reset and even repeated the same many times but without any solution to the battery drain issue. So some people are trying to help others by downgrading to 4.5.1 so just let them help others rather than unnecessarily defending on part of OPO
