Just came back from little ride. After 1.5 hours of Driving (GPS High ON, LTE network connected, Bluetooth Conected to car) I got from 60% to 40 % of battery. And that was with Spotify running (LTE streaming) and streaming to Car via Bluetooth on background while Waze was active. So very nice. Before it would take twice as much battery even on nougat.
    Slowly clapping to OnePlus.

OnePlus has rollback the update, since the update has few bugs... so that's why we can't able to see the update even after connecting to different VPN's.. My advise is, wait until new update arrives..

new update now available, try any VPN app like turbo or opera VPN from Google app store.

connect to either Canada or Germany through that app.

go to system update and check for update.

Updated the phine two days ago. Basically all works well, but have some minor bugs:
    1. One app (Privat24 - Ukranian bank client) crashes on start.
    2. Led indicator doesn't work on Gmail.

Here are some ss of my battery usage stats, it's good cause i used mobile data for quite some time and i did used WiFi too. I hope it helps people to get some idea about the battery life of this update, but i know in the end it all depends on the usage of the users. I am a OP3 user btw.

After I installed it, suddenly my 4G on Telcel/ México started working.

Before I couldn't make it working no matter what.

    What has changed?

Also, despite of having 4G working, it auto switches to H+ after awhile. I have to go to the settings and manually force it to use 4G.

I never had problems with 4G in Europe, on the same phone. But it never worked in America, except Brazil one year ago.

There is something really dodgy about OP3's 4G

As someone already pointed out, update has disabled vibration while unlocking using fingerprints. Unlocking via this option has also slowed down.

Indian users : This update has enabled voLTE option on airtel. However, I am not able to latch to voLTE and network still falls to H+ while making calls.

This is a really basic misstake. Even with the same software GOS performance is differenet per phone. For me GPS issues started after an update in August. Before that it worked fine. I now read that Oneplus 5 has GPS issues as well and a friend of mine had issue with GPS on Oneplus 2.Its just very annoying that we get no resposne at all from Oneplus or any fixes. But hey if you buy a cheap phone you can expect cheap support.

Do I need to have 5.0 before installing this 5.0.1 update?
