Since updating my OP5 to OxygenOS 5.1.4 last week, I have had several days where the battery drains from 100% to 0% during a work day (~10 hours) with very little use of the phone. Normally I'd have about 80% left of the battery when coming back home, now a few times the phone has actually run empty and shut down before I'm back home. Battery statistics show most of the battery has been spent in "Android OS". There have also been "normal" days after the update, when the battery consumption stays at the regular ~20% with light use.

This never happened on the previous OS version and I haven't changed settings or installed apps since the update, so my gut feeling is this has something to do with this update.

Today i came to know that my 5t's speaker mode is not functioning while on call. There is no problem with the hardware as while playing music those works perfectly. This happened after the latest Oxygen OS 5.1.4 update . Already tried wiping cache from recovery and rebooting. Does anyone else face this problem?

If you haven't done any of the following since you updated you should work through the list. After each step check for a time to see if your battery problem has gone.

    - Turn off the phone then restart it.

    - Press and hold the power on button. Hold it till the screen goes blank and you feel the phone vibrate in restart.

    - Go into recovery, select "English" then select "Wipe Data and Cache", then select "Wipe Cache", then select "Yes". Reboot the phone. Do not select to wipe Data.

If there is still no improvement move onto the big one.

    - Make backups of everything you don't want to lose if not already saved. Select Settings, then Backup and Reset, then Factory reset. An alternative is to go back into recovery and wipe cache and Data.

If any or all of this cures your battery problem it wasn't caused by the update but it was an app cache or system cache that was screwed in some way during the update.

It is only good when the phone is idle or when you are sleeping, you will receive all notification and your WiFi and mobile data which is on will be untouch, it will only optimize the battery with your notification to get less battery drain and if you have not enable it then your battery will drain just as it did before.

It's enabled/disabled depending on what country you're in, because laws. With root you can enable call recording natively no matter what country you're in.
