Not sure why they don't put a note in the changelog of each update telling people to wipe cache from recovery after updating if they experience any issues. Or even better, bootstrap it into the update.

Why would they force anything if most users don't have any issues? Forums are mostly filled with unsatisfied clients posts. If someone doesn't have any problems with a phone, he doesn't write "I have no problems, I can recommend the phone". We do that only if someone asks a straight question. So if you go through the forum, you can mostly see whining and you may think that a problem is a major one. In reality what % of users have a particular issue? Probably 1% or maybe less. Think about how many people use e.g. 5T. Those whining posts mean nothing in comparison to the amount of users.

Btw, the update's come 2-3 days ago, installed fine, works fine, no need to clear anything, the phone works great. Looking forward to releasing well-rounded Pie but take your time, we don't need no buggy soft.

My OP5's battery on 5.1.7 is still draining faster than it did on 5.1.5. I fully charged it a couple of days ago and it drained by 10% in less than 24 hours without being used. This is with it in aeroplane mode, Wi-Fi set to go off when not charging, cache cleared after update, and no new apps or change to my usage pattern.

It's still running buttery smooth when in use though, so no performance issues for me.

This is really great news. project treble was very much needed in one plus 5/5t smartphones. sincerely hope oneplus does not ditch older flagships like they had previously with op2. It was horrible having a phone with no support anywhere.

one querry pertaining project treble.? how do we make partitions on the phone internal storage? is it good for the phone processor health? can I be informed of the details?

If you need to ask questions like that then your advised to leave doing things like that to experts. Unless you want to risk bricking your phone.
