OxygenOS 5.1.6(5.1.7 Hotfix) OTA for the OnePlus 5 & 5T

    kermex, Dec 6, 2018 :
Maybe! Anyway, talking about 5/5T, I'm sure there are big bugs/issues/problems, maybe some compatibility with Google services/apps - this could be the explanation why HydrogenOS already pushed a Pie Beta. Something is not going well and this what we should worry about: future support!
These 2 models started on "wrong foot": remember the issue with Netflix, then Treble support and finally this. Now this huge update delay!

I'm using H2os with my 5T now, I can tell you no issue for Google apps, no bugs, no lag & it's 100% compatible.

Great! There are a lot of users like you and OnePlus would be better to get feedback from them not to close threads!

I have been using the OP5 for an year and half now and a persistent problem that bothers always is that when the phone switches from 4G to H+ of 3G or E network due to the carrier not having 4G in that area, the data just doesn't work. I have tried it in all the released stable and beta versions and am currently on the H2OS beta and the problem does persist. I am based out of India When I am on 4G, the connection is pretty solid and works very well. In areas where it drops from 4G to H+, it just doesn't work. There is no data transfer happening and pages don't load up and all standard stuff as if there is no connection. The same issues since Day 1 with the OP5 and seem to persist across OSes too. But definitely a problem that I have found many users complain about and a dedicated thread on XDA https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-5/how-to/oneplus-5-issue-h-network-t3658071 that revolves around the same issue. Not sure if it is a software or a hardware issue now.

I am going to try changing the network settings to only use 2G/3G in areas where I only get H+ and see if that makes any difference and get back.

Good find. Could be hardware or firmware.
Did anyone raise a ticket at OP feedback?
Will do some testing, might explain some problems I had.

If Pie was about to release they would not close beta thread. It means the will release Pie as late as possible. Never settle!

They closed the beta thread because we flooded. That's all

We are investing our money in OnePlus phones, and they are deleting posts just because of we are asking for updates and giving a 'soft' warning to community members. Don't fly too early OnePlus else even you will fall like Apple/Samsung.

OnePlus is deliberately delaying updates just to keep up the hype for the upcoming McLaren. Moving on to NOKIA next time.

to solve the flood issue you need to solve the issue that caused the flood. Pie release would solve issue with no moderator harmed.

I had this problem since the beginning with my OP5. I have now a Pixel 3 and it works perfectly with a H+ network on locations where I got no data at all with my OP5 (same SIM Card).
