In my experience, with 4 months on an OP6, 9.0.4 was slightly better than 9.0.3, which was slightly better than 9.0.2. Maybe you have some junk apps running in the background such as memory cleaners/boosters, battery monitor, etc. Or social media app settings that are syncing too frequently to their servers. Also, charge your phone overnight, at least occasionally, to allow the system to recalibrate for battery usage.

Maybe 30 years ago, that would have been a concern. If you watch the charging rate on your phone, you will notice it gets reduced (slower and phone is less warm) as it approaches 90% and stops at 100%. Then if the phone remains plugged in and unused or moved, it does its maintenance.

    OnePlus 6 User:

For those complaining of battery drain over night, try switching of location services when not required.
Usually some apps turn them on when required.

After this update I see that location service is one of the draining elements......

Rest I have squeezed 7.5 hrs of SOT on this update.

For example currently I have arnd 5hrs of SOT, with 40% still remaining...... have been watching YouTube and surfing net looking for Bluetooth headphones amps for my 6 while traveling from Delhi to Chandigarh.

Always remember nothing is perfect not even me n U who keep complaining... Though OnePlus has created a near perfect phone. I especially love holding it without any covers, the finish nd feel is just pure pleasure.

Put your phone on flight mode at night like I do, everyone needs sleep. Battery life is not the best on op6 that I agree on though.

I just use the scheduled power on/off function from 12:30 to 5:30 so its automatic and provides the benefit of a fresh restart every day.

Can we have deep integration with RCS & ViLTE instead of using Google Duo within the OnePlus Dialer. Thanks.

Battery, Battery and Battery it's all I read. I have a smartphone! I use it ! I don't turn off restrict anything. I use all day at work including to and from. I'm connected to a Jabra talk 45 the whole time Bluetooth. I average 3-4 hours sometimes more separate all length calls per day. I have two sims, WiFi, location on from the minute it's unplugged and for long periods data running. I chuck it on charge around 7 pm every night for an hour, the next night at 7pm I have usually just over 50% remaining on battery.
    What more can anyone need!

You're getting late on releasing updates. Huawei phones are rocking the Feb security patch for long. What's going on???

I put automatic switch off and on in the night, so my phone sleep about 5 hours during the night and my battery is perfect. normally about 7-8 hours SOT.
