How do you the next update will come with April security patch and not March?

That's a good wild guess based on my experience since the OnePlus 3 was released. :)

    Everyone's free to think otherwise!

Well based on your experience I hope so but is this the first time OnePlus delayed this much on updating their devices? OnePlus 6T is my first OnePlus phone so I don't have that much experience on updates.

Read the update timeline thread again. It clearly states one stable update every two months. The last update was in February so we're on-track for the next one sometime this month. This happens literally every time a new update is "delayed".

Yep, I too have the same opinion and we should be getting an update this month ;)

it may come with March security patch, like the last update which also had older security patch.

So I guess those people who are complaining about "why the update is taking to long"haven't read about the update timeline thread then, well I didn't read it either but at least I'm not complaining since my 6T is working flawlessly. People are so impatient.

    its somehow OnePlus's fault.
they pampered these people so much.
first thing they should do is shut down beta program (clearly most of features don't even see the light of the day in stable releases) and announce that the update will come when they want not when people scream in community.
that should teach these people some lesson... buying phones just for software updates...how ridiculous.

if you cleared your cache after update then that's the issue. the system is still building them up.

What at first just seems like sloppy imprecise information turns out to be very clever. In the maintenance schedule there is no mention of which security patch will be delivered.
Obviously they could not give one with an earlier date than the last one they issued but as long as they issue a newer one they will feel they have stuck to the schedule.

This may read like a stupid question but why did you buy a OP device then!?

Call me stupid but why do security patches matter? [e]1f602[/e] Samsung gives (security) updates a few times a year (especially android updates which take a very long time) So why in the world would you give an excellent device back because the security patch is 2-3 months older?
