Would you like the OTA update before or after all the bugs have been ironed out on the Open Beta test firmware?

If you want it before, you can, if you are a competent and experienced user, join the Open Beta test firmware programme and take your chances.

If you want it bug free, you will need to be patient and wait.

    The choice is yours! ;)

OP6 users are approaching June but having security patch of March'19, no fixes on camera issues both selfie and portrait mode, I far as I see only two stable updates in last 6 Months. Being a user time to change brand beside complaining.

I am experienced enough to join beta but why should I be forced to do that? Implementing a OTA should be as stable as possible with security patch that won't get ancient before next update.
My experience with OnePlus so far is that they have trouble fixing bugs in their Stable releases.
You get what you pay for and sure it's true, my op6 is fast enough but lacks in battery life, camera performance, WiFi 5ghz connectivity and bluetooth compatibility. May be software or hardware who knows.

I'm not using my phone to solve problems for the company who I bought my device from, if they want help then hire experts and make the optimal software for the hardware available. My time goes to using the device with the best experience possible.

This is the issue with midrange phones, they hype it to skies but can't deliver what they say. Even OnePlus 7 pro can't deliver the camera performance nor the battery as they claimed. In the end it becomes a dog chasing it's tail, poorly prepared software to run the hardware. "Next update will fix the issues" is the issue.

This is why Apple has a edge, they may have overpriced phones but they have a great support and it's cheaper to repair the device and change the battery to a original from a certified retailer.

OnePlus 6 is a ok phone, it's fast and performance is ok but it doesn't shine in other areas.

Truely said mate, Here we are cursing a brand or device, we just fell disappointed when we see some other brands are timely updating their devices like MI, Asus or Honor, They really work on fixing issues rather making hype like OP7 Pro which looks to be a failed device. Hope one plus will work in that direction to update existing devices rather racing to produce new devices of no use.

meh, they care about only money. the days of being community oriented device are long gone.
fixing older issues will not make money but launching new devices will, thus priority over new device.

If you are living in China and on a Chinese network then you probably should not have tried to install the non Chinese, OxygenOS firmware.
