I see much negative about the 6 and 6T and wonder why I’m so happy, it’s not fair. My 6T updates are fine, battery drain is fine and phone operates perfectly. The only thing I would change is a headphone jack but I knew that when I bought the phone so no big deal. I want to be sad but I just can’t, I really like this phone as it is and whenever I get 10 it’ll just be a bonus, I’m in no hurry. Why can’t I be impatient, unrealistic and mad like most of you? I don’t understand.

I have not tried anything because I am afraid of bricking my phone and that's why I always waited of the official update from OnePlus. The phone heats up a lot and I installed Clean Master to cool the CPU and that works for a while.

Installing junk apps, that run continually and are full of ads, will not help you. Keep your phone clean of crapware.

Assuming you have restarted the phone and it didn't help.
    Ok.
I would start by uninstalling all apps that you really don't need then press and hold the power on\off button until the phone vibrates and restarts then let go of the button. Then try the phone.
If it's no better then run in safe mode and try the phone again. If the phones ok now your problem is one of the apps you have still got installed. You can uninstall them one by one. After each one is removed press and hold the on\off button again to hard restart the phone. Try the phone. If it's ok do not reinstall the last app you removed.
If it's no better in safe mode you should factory reset the phone. Then try it again before you reinstall any of your apps.
If the phone still isn't fixed after all this you will have done enough to find the problem yourself that I hope one of the younger brains than mine will jump in to suggest the next steps if there are any.

Sorry but you'll have to search for instructions on safe mode and factory reset. I always have to.
    Good luck

Desperately? you want to be smart with me, right?
I commented that the security patch that the 6T has is already from August.
Did I say any lies? What's your problem?
For me as a customer, the more up to date the better. Anything against that ???

One of the problems with this forum is that there is a group of people who think they are smart enough to shut up others. Are you one of them?

I don't think so: if that had been my intention I'd have sent you this link: https://forums.oneplus.com/threads/software-update-excitement-thread.993639/

    I agree with you.

    I have none.

Now I get it, you only wanted to say your phone isn't up to date the way you want it to be.

    Nothing at all.

I reckon everyone has a right to express their opinion even if they don't follow the forums rules (see reply #1 of your post).

Good morning, how are you today? I have done what you advice but it's still draining. I had to take a screenshot. Just an hour after full charge and its at 87% already [e]1f614[/e].. A factory reset might just be my last option. Thanks again for your advice and time..

Worth going to recovery and clearing only cache first. I keep forgetting that trick.

Finally found it in Developer Option and I turned it on. When I reboot in Recovery mode and clear the cache, I will let u know. I am still at work now. Thanks so so much. But when I clear the cache, will I have to input my username and passwords for my Gmail etc? Do I have to do a Backup first just in case?

In theory you shouldn't need to backup first but as a rule always make a backup before messing with this stuff.

Clearing the cache does not touch data saved in apps and internal storage (emulated sdcard). So it should be fine. Just ensure that you wipe only the cache (Wipe Data and Cache > Wipe Cache).
