Just to inform Oneplus 7 recording mode working perfectly on 9.0.2. I don't know if it was already there in this thread.
Earlier also it was working on CB2.

Actually i have only ONE expectation and that is for the manufacturer to keep up their own promises.

For example, if a manufacturer promises "bi-monthly" security updates i expect to receive security updates, roughly every 2 months.

My phone has not received the 9.0.2 update yet, so the last official OTA opdate it received was the November 27 update with security from november 2018

In 2 days that means that it has not received security updates for 6 months.

Do YOU think it is expecting to much, if people expect that the manufacturer keeps up their own promises, with regards to their products.

I never once complained about not getting the Pie update faster, i only complained about not getting security updates, that was promised.

Leave your phone on the charger before you go to sleep You should be set afterwards. If it still happens investigate your apps

There's protections in place, there's no way your phone can over charge because as soon as it hits 100% the phone stops receiving power.

New updates need to optimize, and there are two ways to allow the phone to optimize, leave the phone on the charger for a few hours to optimize (without touching it at all) or force the optimization through adb

Do you mean, name a few companies that keep up their promises in contrast to Oneplus or what ? (Promise bi-monthly security updates, but now it has been 6 months since last security update) ?

I specifically stopped buying HTC, because they promised to upgrade it to a newer version of android, but suddenly decided that they did not want to bother anyway. I know OP did the same with the OP2, which i was not aware of when i bought the 3, and now OP is skipping on the promises of bi-monthly updates, making me look to other brands.

I almost expect nothing in terms of how long manufacturers update their products, but i DO expect them to keep their own promises (Bi-monthly security updates as promised by OP for example)

I've got the OTA, but I have the DM verity warning at boot, will it be safe to update?
No root, No custom recovery, Not even developer mode is enabled.
    any leading solutions are welcome.

Yes, pressing the "check update" many times will get you the Pie faster.

It's like when you get to a place where they have elevators, if you press the button to get the elevator many times, then the elevator will come more quickly, because it will know that you need it faster from all the clicking on the button,

I have got the OTA notification without trying, that's not the problem, just need to know if it's safe to update when you have a DM verity warning.. will it brick the device, or should I first get the DM verity issue sorted and then update.
