Was thinking the same, well OnePlus 5 and 5t update is also not far behind as some users still have problems but everything seems fine if you use it moderately.

factory reset your phone, then download update 9.0.3 on your mobile, install it through recovery, wipe cache data, install chrome new and then it will work.

Was on oreo on my OnePlus 5..held off updating to pie for about a month after reading all the issues on this forum.... Then went for the ota ... Wiped cache clean from recovery before and after installing the ota... Kept phone overnight on charging for the first couple of days... Experienced no issues whatsoever except the shutter sound bug and a few apps closing because of aggressive battery management of pie
.. Battery life is better compared to Oreo and ui is also pretty smooth... Camera sends slightly off but liveable... Overall, a solid update...

I doubt about the battery life, it's fine but not better than Oreo, the 5.1.4 Oreo update for me was the best on both camera and battery life too because of the New gestures and New UI and New features I came on Android Pie, now thinking again and again to go back but couldn't change my mind.

After the Update when we schedule power On Off, after the phone restarts the screen does not turn off and stays on. So the battery drains fast. Suppose we scheduled to Restart at 1:30am, then the phone will be turned on the whole night and will be on the unlock pattern screen.
    Please look into the problem.

    There are many bugs.
Bugs even in the OS , my op5 gets hang when I open settings , when I type any line when I try to drag the drop-down.

And about camera , I can't explain it , in average I have to open the camera app 3-4 time to take a photo.

when I open the camera it just shows black display nothing other than this.
