Just my t'pence but maybe you need to read a little more before doing. Patching boot images etc when rooting, whilst fairly straight forward, can potentially cause issues, and I'd expect a "power user" to be able to dig themselves out.

Hmm that is weird. I used Magisk 19.3 and it worked fine.
I had the bootloader unlocked and came from Oreo, there already rooted too. Had to wipe too.

    Hopefully someone can help you.

I don't have blah blah on my device. You really misread my post it seems. You should try them too you know. Best performance out of this aged SoC now.

Is it possible to convey the message to OnePlus team , that we don't the Android pie on 3T models ? it is not worth using Pie with 3T hardware, it's pathetic

in the entire history of OnePlus, This is the worst update ever rolled out. The funny thing is, they know that there are a lot of bugs in this update and still they are forcings the OTA on to users. I downgraded to Oreo about 10 days ago & yet I get notification for 9.0.4 everyday. Please stop pushing the 9.0.4 update to users & release 9.0.5 with the blank incoming call screen fix!

You may try Installing the desired version through adb sideloading.
But incase of downgrading problems occur you may be required to reset Your device.
    if it boots then okay.

Because your bootloader is unlocked, at a guess.

Possible yes, but you'll probably have a massively unstable device.

    It's already in the OP.
