And every update is so poorly written and implemented that it compulsorily needs a factory reset. So, your advice is good and valid and it proves that there's fault in coding rather than user's usage.

After a long use with OxygenOS 9.0.4 the issues i am facing is that when someone calling the screen will remain black for 15-20 sec. most of time call get disconnected and screen remain black you have to wake up the screen by using power button to take call
2nd issue that i faced is that sometime screen get freezed when you scroll down your screen either on youtube or other app which have longer pages no other problems is noticed till now.

Looks like a rollout of 9.0.5 is about to start. If your problems persist even after update, you should open a bug report.

Well I don't think the problems will go away. I am buying one plus 7. it's been 3 years so it's time to change my phone. OnePlus will deliberately slow down OnePlus 3 now. it's a strategy being followed by all phone manufacturers nowadays and which is unfair.

Yet by giving them more money you are showing your support for this perceived behaviour. If I suspected an OEM was behaving this way they'd never get another penny off of me.

well I am only suspecting this behavior and do not have proof. Hence, I will not act merely on suspicion. Also, most of the OEMs like Apple , Samsung, Xiaomi have adopted this strategy barring a few. There could be a virus in my phone which is slowing it down.

There could be some apps that could be slowing your phone down but virus on android phones is rarely a case unless you've downloaded shady applications from the web.

Apple where sued for slowing down iPhones and the EU, told them they'd take a dim view if they did it again. You might think your OEM is slowing down your old phone but they'd be opening a whole can of worms, in the EU at least if they did.
