Well but Apple is still slowing down it's phones. It's a big lobby where money flows like rivers. It's not easy to stop them. Unless people themselves take a stand.

My understanding was somewhat different, I understood that the battery saving throttling was now user configurable.

Just updating to 9.0.5 the response time has been improved. Please update your device to 9.0.5

Well that's right but think about it this way if the OEMs do not slow down the phones. Then why will the consumer go for a new phone in the first place.

Also, can the users see the code to ascertain that there's a problem with it? The code is hidden.

Frankly speaking just imagine who all are watching your phone right now?

Because new hardware tends to lead to new or improved functionality, advances in chipsets improve efficiency leading to longer battery life. And the number one reason people buy new phones? Because who wants to be seen with an old phone.

Speaking for myself, even if I could see the code I couldn't identify issues with it.

No idea but whoever they are they'll be bored shitless.

Well I agree as far as I know the Chinese government can access some but all data from the OnePlus devices. Unless we put a firewall on our phones.

I am having the same issue. The phone has become dismally slow and unusable after the update, so much so that I am now thinking of replacing it with a samsung or may be even a Vivo and never return to one plus again. I was so happy with my phone for the last 2.5 years but this performance is just unacceptable.

    Dear Sir,

I have recently updated my OnePlus 3 phone to oxygen OS 9.0.4 and now my phone crushes/hangs at least 4 to 5 times a day.

My mobile interface and operations have become very slow. There is a 5 second delay to display a the incoming call number.

I tried to explore and I think the oneplus application launcher has a bug, presumeably.

Please do the needful and help me resolve this issue.

My op3 is now settled to stop working due to os 9.04. First I missed Bluetooth calling, then Google store, now I'm unable to read emails. Thanks op developers

I completely agree with you and I share the same opinion. this is unprofessional and unethical. this will only degrade the brand image of oneplus.

Well, is there a justification from OnePlus in the thread for the poor performance of Op3 phones? I don't think so.
