it's not a software issue. camera hardware being damaged is a common issue for OnePlus 3/3T.
to confirm that, you may try down grading to 5.0.8 and check if the problem is still there or not. you may need to replace the camera module.

Unfortunately this is not the case, some users reported that the camera stop focusing after pie update, and a prove is some posts above where a user downloaded a new camera APK from apkmirror and it fixed the focus problem. It's all software related...

I give you a quick fix for faceunlock battery drain and probably will fix the crashes you suffer:
Open settings > apps and notification > show all apps > taptap three dots on top right corner > ta on show system apps > tap on "face unlock" > tap memory storage > delete memory > go back one step and force stop the app > reboot device and set a new face.

They will stay. You're confusing magisk with magisk manager, which is the app with the modules.

9.0.4 really messed up my phone.... had to wipe it after the update in order to even use the phone. also the phone has slowed down considerably! trying to wake it up either fingerprint or power button takes 2 seconds or so. allot of apps are running very slow. battery drain is an issue. also the camera does not focus anymore! it will not take pictures in focus all are blurry!..... I could keep going. it's almost to the point where I don't want to even use the phone. I certainly hope that 9.0.5 fixes all that 9.0.4 BORKED UP! I know this phone is 2 years old but don't want to purchase another OnePlus phone again until 5G is in my area.

the only thing I wish that could be an option is to be able to assign the slider back to the way it use to be as a " do not disturb" there needs to be more options available in the slider menu! Not just take it away.

After you wiped it how did you reinstall your apps? If you just reinstalled them from a back up perhaps you've reinstalled whatever was causing the issue, what happens when you just put the phone in safe mode and it's them only using the pre-installed OP apps? It seems users like me have few issues other major issues even after a clean install.
