It is very unpleasing that after the update the phone is lagging too much. Please fix it.
The battery performance has improved a bit.

I hope oneplus fixes this lagging.

Updated my OP5 a couple days ago, from 9.0.4, and no issues so far. Battery is fine, no lag in my apps, but never experienced that in any of the Pie updates beginning at 9.0.0. I do notice that it is not running as hot as it was on previous versions so that is good.

I'd suggest you tap on About>build number and enable Developer Mode. Then go to Animations (all 3 of them) and change to either "0" or ".5" That way you eliminate the lag you're speaking about. I suspect you own the OP5 rather than the 5T? I have NO problems at all with the update on my 5T but the number of apps installed are minimal, NO games, utilities or others that would slow the device. It's snappy as hell, charges faster than ever and the battery life is outstanding!

"always use oneplus switch to backup and restore data before update"
Thats what they say before every update.

Anyone else noticing faster battery drain after this update on OnePlus 5? Is something being automatically turned on via update which I need to turn off?
