While no expert, I feel confident in saying the issues are tied to third party apps rather than the update. It's also possible its a hardware problem if the apps aren't the cause. My 5T isn't a year old yet, there are NO social media, gaming or utility apps installed and updates do NOT affect the performance as a result. The ONLY bug I've found with the last two updates are with Sound selection settings. Not sure if that helps but most of us that don't overload the phone with apps tend to have a far better experience with updates. :)

Why are you so excited about Android 10?? There's nothing new. It's not as if your phones performance or battery life will improve. It will only LOOK different. Go get an iPhone then, each year you can buy the 'same' new iPhone

Can anyone tell me why some of you are so desperate for the Android 10 update?

The only significant changes are decreased performance and battery life.

Why not buy an iPhone? You can get the same new iPhone each year.

Try and convince me what's so good / useful about the new update.

    @Manu J. What u peoples are doing???
Before a year back Xiaomi peoples were struggling to provide updates but now they are releasing update to 12 of its smartphones.

U peoples are even struggling to provide update to OnePlus 7 series & Also u peoples need 1 year to release Android 10 for OnePlus 5 series. U peoples ended the beta program for OnePlus 5 series so soon & u peoples tell that OnePlus is a customer oriented company.

OnePlus ur only fit to eat shit

If u have really care for customers release the Android 10 update for all the eligible devices before the end of this year & also release the future Android 11 update for OnePlus 5 series on the same day when Google releases Android 11 for it's Pixel devices.

Look at Google they release updates to all it's phone on the same day & also now Xiaomi are releasing Android 10 update to 12 of it's phone on same day and u peoples are struggling to provide updates to at least 2 phones.

From now on I don't want to buy OnePlus devices.

Firstly stop comparing company's. Also you should thank Oneplus for atleast providing Android 10 update on a 2 year old phone. If you can't wait till Q2 then you can check online for some custom roms that can provide you the experience you need.

Also, If you need the Android update on the same day when google releases then you can upgrade to pixel devices or just buy an Iphone instead.

No reason to update if device is functioning well.

Some people think getting an update can give their device a golden glow.

    Look at Google pixel 1

I agree with you but google takes extra bucks to provide that kind of service.
Actually the thing is you get what you pay for. If you need faster updates then you should consider Pixel, iPhone or maybe Android One devices.
    No Offense though.

Considering they released oxygenos 10 on 6 and 7 series 1 month apart it really is absurd that between the rollout of oos 10 on 6 series and 5 series there's a 5 month gap ( at least)
