Again, stop comparing 2 different company's as it is similar to compare salt with sugar.

For your knowledge Poco F1 was launched on 29th August 2018 which has just completed one year and Redmi Note 7 pro was launched on 13th March 2019 which has just completed 5 months from launch date, so Xiaomi is providing latest updates to these phones.

Even MI A1 which was launched back in 2017 is not going to get Android 10 update as it has completed 2 major updates, so you should thank OnePlus for letting to live us for some more time. Also OnePlus has announced that it will provide Updates for 2 years and 1 year of security updates.

Samsung Galaxy S8 which was launched back on 29 March 2017 is also not getting Android 10 update.

If you want to get experience you need then you can change brand or just flash a custom rom till the official release.

There is not much noticeable difference between Android 9 and Android 10 apart from system wide dark and some privacy settings. Nowadays many apps are adapting to dark mode so there is no reason to rush Android 10. Android 10 will not make your device blazing fast so wait till Q2 2020 or just flash custom ROM.

    1) You started comparison with budget phones (Redmi Note 7 pro), I guess.

    2) I don't think so, as updates are coming monthly or bimonthly to 6/t , 7/t/pro users which is according to the maintenance schedule given by OnePlus.
Also 5/t have almost completed their 2 year span so rolling of updates might be slow.

    3) You only answered your question. If others are providing on time updates then you can consider buying their devices. OS development is a tedious task which requires time. So you should either learn to wait or flash custom rom.

Hmmm...let me see...A) CALLING people; B) Texting; C) Email; D) Banking/Google Pay; E) Google news. There's probably other areas though I prefer interacting/looking at people rather than my phone..weird huh :)

Yes people complain about draining since it's either an issue of the OS or the app itself. I don't really care, I want my phone to work properly, what's strange about that? Besides the beta app is not available officially now.

My OnePlus 5T has started developing significant screen lag and general reduced responsiveness since upgrading to Oxygen OS 9.0.9. It got worse over a few days until it was no longer useable. I eventually resolved this temporarily by wiping the phone cache but this provided only a temporary fix as after around half a day the lag starts to appear again and gradually increases. I am hoping this is a problem that can be quickly resolved by a further update as I should not have to wipe the phone cache every two days.
