I want Oreo back, screen brightness is reduced big time. I was amazed how you could see the screen clearly on daylight with 50% brightness, now I have to adjust to over 80%. Fix it!

Hey guys, for those of you who are on open beta builds as mentioned in the open beta 1 post follow below instructions to downgrade from beta version
Instructions for downgrading from Android P Beta version to MP version
    Rollback process:
    1. Download the latest ROM package from the specified server [HERE].
    2. Copy ROM rollback package to the mobile phone storage root directory.
    3. Settings -> system updates -> top right corner icon -> local upgrade -> click on the installation package -> immediately upgrade -> system upgrade to 100%.
    4. Select Reboot system now.
    5. Update successfully.
Please note: This rollback will clear all contents of the phone, please make sure to back up.
alter rollback to the stable version of O can update to P version via OTA after global rollout

True, it's not Oneplus's fault, that people are lazy and expect an answer to the same questions again and again.
These are people usually from the same exact country, usually coming from a Samsung phone and expect to be spoon fed, because they bought an expensive phone.
This gives them a permit to ruin the forum and scare away the decent users.

    A question...:p

As far as common sense dictates...isn't subsequence releases means better improvements/changes ??

Beta 1..2..3 ...shouldn't Beta 3 means the better one since it's the later version ?

Then why is this stable release is based on Beta 1 (or 2)..but not 3 ? ( I could be wrong on this info. :p )

    Just curious.

I am staying put with v5.1.11 ..until the dusts settled down.

The update will come as notification or you can check manually a couple/three times per day as the auto check may be only once every 24 hours. They stage the rollout as not to swamp the severs I would guess as OPlus don't have the resources the likes of Google and Apple.
You can search and find the full zips and download and move to the internal storage (not in any folder) and then from update screen top right corner menu choose local upgrade and you should see the zip you downloaded -click install and of you go.

It's really disturbing to me how this third party app is being pushed on everyone from these anonymous forum profiles...

"Have you used "your” Oxygen updater app as if it's part of the OnePlus eco system... it's not folks!

In reviewing the app, it's branded as if it's part of the OnePlus / Oxygen OS apps... it's not!

I could be wrong... there could be a nice guy out there with a legitimate copy of the authentic OTA installation file
.. OR it could be an installation tainted with potential unwanted programs such as adware and malware... The app itself has adds in it which is consistent with a third party app trying to generate revenue...

You're really putting your trust in this third party when using thia app...

    BEWARE...
