More complicated than that. Oneplus seems to finalize a rollout before sending the update to the carrier. Then they do quility checks and add their stuff before releasing their own version. Some carriers add more than others.

It's not One Plus my friend. I am also a T-Mobile variant. If you're not willing to do some work.....you're stuck until your phone is paid off. First thing is that TMobile will unlock your phone. They no longer will support the One Plus 7 Pro and they know that. I however flashed to International before all this and had Android 10. Now I have the first updated version. There are things you can do and still keep your phone locked. You just can't be in here trolling and complaining if your not doing your homework. Read here.. stop complaining and ask questions. You and I are in the same TMobile boat.....I just decided to I wasn't going to be part of it. After all that....they just granted me a full unlock.

Agreed....but that hasn't stopped me. This phone besides being locked is fully flashed and a stable Android 10 so far. I've actually enjoyed the technical education. I did it all of it without bricking my phone. ......to me...that's an accomplishment. lol

So it's a completely stable build? Now I am afraid to even try to update. It sounds like a nightmare

Someone telling you to do your homework? Why should you or any TMobile user have to do their homework. Do this then do that and if that doesn't work well you have no support whatsoever.

Carrier branded phones always sucked. If the carrier can't support the device they should offer free unlock and conversion to international firmware, done by themselfs or pay Oneplus to convert for you. They should not expect all customers to know how to do it. Just my point of view.
Luckilly I live in a country where even simlocks are rare these days.

I totally agree. Why a consumer has to be a phone and computer expert to update a top of the line phone is ridiculous. Can you imagine what updating a 5G will be like. I can update to the 7T and save $5.00 a month or go to the Apple 11.

T-Mobile did a courtesy unlock for me. I have been a customer with them for 13 years. I then followed the directions on the XDA site and now have a T-Mobile international unlocked phone with Android 10. Been doing thus for a while. Works great! I am still paying for the phone. Hope this helps.

Same...but I've been flashed and Android 10 now for a bit and running smooth. Then when I found out they won't carry this phone anymore...kiss of TMobile death. So I asked for and was granted the unlock. But I can't unlock using their app. I'm too for out in front of their technology. Haha!

my TMobile phone was unlocked months ago but I can wait a month as Android 10 on OnePlus has had issues and I want TMobile security. I've been with T-Mobile for 14 years and I've never had issues with their updates. I can easily exchange for OnePlus 7 t but why give away 128 gig to save $100.00? 9.5.11 works great. Sure I'd enjoy Android 10, but I can wait for an issue free update.
