yeah, in one way or another animations are far from smooth.
my 1y old meizu 16 has smoother animations....

closing apps looks yerky, it's fast but not smooth.
i hope they can fix this with Q update .
Last beta was smoother so let's hope

wouldn't it be time for a new version release as it's 3 weeks now and there are real painful issues in the known bugs backlog?

I tried to convert my phone to the international version, my computer doesn't recognize the msm tool. I tried to be part of the tester program. I never heard back, frustrated that I am still on 9.4.9 on T-Mobile. Maybe I should have just bought a Pixel 3? I came from a LG V30, I was completely frustrated with not even being able to get Android 9. So I jumped to the OnePlus 7 Pro. I love the device, yet it just annoys me that there are 2 software updates out there that could make my experience better and no idea when or if they will even be released for my device locked on carrier.Ugh

before you do this, are you sim unlocked? start here if not.

put the msm tool in the same folder that you extracted everything in. that's seems to be doing the trick do everyone. idk why. I had same issue. put it all in one folder, and it works [e]1f601[/e]

take a breath... relax. and try again. once you have everything in right spot it's a simple process. takes maybe 15 minutes to get set up. once you are on international software, you will get a notification that 9.5.11 is available to upgrade to totally worth it. then you can use your phone or oxygen updater in play store to stay current, and don't have to wait for TMobile.

also make sure you download the revert firmware to be able to go back to TMobile for whatever reasone.

You have me confused. My phone had the option to unlock temporary or permanent. I choose permanent and within a minute I received message phone is unlocked. I know I can now access the bootloader through developer options. What exactly is sim unlocking? BTW I have TMO version 9.5.9 on my phone. I still have no idea how to convert to international version. I watched YouTube and read the XDA posts and none mention an unlocked TMobile phone. thanks

you are way ahead of yourself. all you had the option to do was temporarily or permanently SIM unlock your phone. that has nothing to do with unlocking your bootloader. what you need to do is run the tool which you will have to search for, and that switches the software on your phone to the international version. at that time I believe there is a way to unlock the bootloader but I'm not 100% sure on that but I do know that once you complete that successfully, you will be able to take over the air updates from OnePlus

As you can see I can control the bootloader. I have an unlocked sim, bootloader which right now is turned on. What is next to receive updates from OP?

you don't need to unlock bootloader to get updates from oneplus. if you are sim unlocked ( if on TMobile) and have international firmware, you can download update through op or oxygen updater. does that help?
