could you tell me the file size of the update versus the full version for me to check, I'd assume they should be different sizes?

Full update is 2046MB. I don't know the size of the incremental from 9.5.1 to 9.5.5

Been my point for a while now again camera updates and bug fixes that have been done on the non 5g version are 3 to 4 weeks old and still we don't have them

The updates for this are getting beyond a joke to be honest. It's the top of the range handset and it's getting badly ignored.

I left Samsung and my S10 as I was getting a bit frustrated with the inconsistent updates, seems like I've picked the only OnePlus handset that isn't getting any!

This is my first OnePlus device, and at this moment, it's definitely my last.

It's been over 2 years, but it's back to iPhone in September.

Some things come to 5G version BEFORE regular Pro and some come later.

    Like what?

Had the 5g since release and the 4g has always had the updates before the 5g

June security patch was one of the things I recall at the moment. Regular 7 Pro was the last one of all 7 series that got it.
There was one smaller component of the camera that got to 5G first... I think it was bundled with 9.5.5. I don't recall the exact thing though.
I can't explain why some parts gets delayed on 5G at the same time as some stuff, rare but it happens, get there first.
As someone said. Having the development of the radio parts more separated and controlled by the carriers while having the rest of the phone more in line with the regular 7 Pro would have been a better way to go.

Great phone's best I've had but unfortunately EE let it down by longing the updates/software give OnePlus 10/10 but I give EE 3/10 due to still being on the 9.5.5 OnePlus 7 Pro 5G. state remember not to get a phone with a carrier there bullshit!(EE)

And now they've released 9.5.11 for the normal 7 Pro, and we are still stuck on 9.5.5.

I'd love to hear from OnePlus on this, as the support the 5G version is getting is absolutely disgraceful.

It's not really a true carrier phone like T-mobile phones are. However since it's a new standard and pretty early release with only 2 carriers using the phone they work much closer to the carriers... Sadly the limited amount of 5G phones out there kind of makes them beta hardware in a way. As far as I understood this situation plages more brands than Oneplus.

You need to speak to EE tech support and see what they say. I had to provide IMEI s/w version and mobile number when I couldn't update the out of box 9.5.1 to the then 9.5.4 and they reported it to OnePlus tech I believe. In the end I went from 9.5.1 to 9.5.5. I don't know whether it was just flannel but had to do a reset phone 3 times

it would just be nice of OP could give an official statement and timeline and if its with EE at least tell us this. I kind of regret getting 5G version as SW is different going on the forums etc and seeing all new fixes etc released and then realising no update for us etc.

    this takes the cake!
they updated 7 Pro to Aug patch so now all custom kernel updates break on the 5g version.
We are now a month since last update

I finally got it sorted. I spoke to EE tech support who said right away that there was a known problem with the first batch of handsets in that they would not update. Tech support advised me to take the handset back to the EE shop and exchange it for a new one which I did with no hassle. The new handset updated itself right out the box from 9.5.1 to 9.5.5 no problems.

I would be surprised if they do not update the 5G very soon.
