on 9.5.6 -- Have an issue with Ambient display and Night Mode, when ever you need to unlock the phone , the display is in normal mode and once the phone is unlocked it gets back to Night mode.

During the call the voice breaks out for a second i cannot hear what the other person said, it resumes automatically, this happens on every call.
Any one faced these issues and any solutions?

I am not facing any overheat issues. Factory reset might help.

It's not 'overheating'. It's just getting lil warm on continuous use.

Just a note. Updates on 7 Pro units, 7 Pro 5G and 7 has different version numbers with nothing incommon with each other.
Just look at the big camera updates on 7 Pro. 7 Pro got it on 9.5.7. 5G version got it at 9.5.5. Also keep in mind that 7 camera is a different setup and several parts of the code needs to be very different. The phone was also released later that 7 Pro. Personally I would guess a larger update on the camera should come soon on 7.
Some info about the main camera sensor.
    https://www.androidpit.com/48-mp-or-not-look-at-sony-new-camera-sensor
Also note that 7 sometimes has gotten pretty important stuff like the newer security update BEFORE 7 Pro. I fact regular 7 Pro was the last unit getting that.
Regarding updates on the different devices. There will always be one or few parts on a update that will be first on one device that users with the other devices want.

The battery issues is not a easy task to handle. A huge part seems to be Google play services on all devices (and this is not limited to Oneplus). The other parts I haven't really seen much details on. Sometimes I seen the launcher to be behind it. Do you see anything special behind your battery issues? I use BetterBatteryStats to be able to see more info.
I also have seen a few fully updated 7 users with no issues with battery.

Places like this... There is usually a big part of users that might even be happy with the phone(s). They rarely come here to say that so ofcource the majority of people posting here do so due to problems. So there is a rather big imbalance of good and bad experiences.

Oneplus has indeed a few issues to tackle on all devices. Similar technical solutions with underscreen sensors and stuff has not been a easy task for other brands either (if they have done any better I don't know). The virtual proximity/lux sensor is one of those things that they need to improve and is also one of the reasons why pocketmode probably needs a remake and could be more challenging to solve. I don't know how pocketmode work on 6T so I'm assuming it was some kind of auto sense funtion by using proximity sensor.
Some info about the lack of a real proximity sensor.

There is a lot higher chance to actually do something about the problems if using the Feedback tool and report the issues than to just post about it here. Sometimes it feels like many issues does not get rapported directly to Oneplus and just come on the forum.

Pretty common issue it seems. I have a post a bit higher up that gives some details on the proximity funtion of the Oneplus 7 series phones.
I does not seem to have issues though. Perhaps some delay and unstable screen brightness. But it's within a reasonable limit for me.
