apparently 5g owners have to wait until the launch event in October to find out when we will get updated to android 10.

oneplus already said 5G will have 10 before end of this month but I dont believe it until I see it....
we are 1 week away from end of month and non 5g just got 10 official so 1 week later is not looking likely as it has taken OP up to a month or two to catch up 5g!

I will give my phone back to EE and upgrade to something better in December/January time.
I had enough of this BS

agreed, OnePlus can "chill out and stay tuned" as to whether I switch to the Google Pixel 4 or something else.

Disappointed with OnePlus. battery not that good. Camera captures too much color effect. no natural look.

Don't get too excited about A10, just yet evidently there are problems with it. Many of us 7 and 7pro users have not received it yet. Also there have been reports of many bugs, as if it may have been rushed out too quickly, I don't know not a programmer. Best to have the bugs squashed before you guys get it.

Sorry the 5g phones are put on back burner so to speak , but as was stated by others, i feel buying 5g phones is a risk taken. As early adopters you pay the price as trail blazers due to smaller volume of sold phones.

pretty sure that will be the date just reality of getting a carrier exclusive device always back of the que in terms of updates but the 5G makes it worthwhile for me

Its not carrier exclusive in Europe. Only UK and US. But in UK is not carrier locked nor does it have special firnware just for EE

Didn't realise that sorry, either way they either haven't sold enough to put it on a par with development with other versions of 7 or it takes longer to code the software for the 5G. I used to be with Samsung so used to waiting normally 6 months after Google releases new updates so just standard for me

Yes, but it also doesn't work on other networks 5G without manual config and then it doesn't stick after a reboot.

I definitely didn't buy a "risk" device it wasn't advertised anywhere as that nor was the money taken in good faith in risk. Sat on back burner is an understatement it was literally a show case device and that's all OnePlus have proven with lack of after care or support.

For saying it's the smallest number is quite wrong, in most western countries the 5G has outsold the non 5G versions, so reasoning (as sound as it is btw) it's void.

5G owners and buyers have been duped into this device and then with post from the likes of Manu simply talking BS on dates and promises that have yet to be fruitful.

They've not even been bothered enough to update the security patch on 5G devices.

Well you know what they say, "Never Settle"

Yeah? Any word from Oneplus or is this all speculation?
I'm willing to bet speculation and trust me with this device - don't have any hope.

It said one opening post, 5g as well as others to be patient, will come (just to be clear I am paraphrasing, that means not word for weird). You will get it, I am speculating the rest due to the 7 being delayed.

Sorry if that is not good enough for you.

It's not good enough at all, someone from Oneplus themselves could say something about the state of 5G device.
We were lumped in the the Oneplus 3! How is that okay that they see us the same post as a 3 year old device to be quiet?

This is a forum of users, oneplus probably doesn't even know that you commented on here. Go to Pete 's Twitter account and complain there, you are more likely to get a response.
