    Friends,
when you would like to take a portrait photo, you should be in bright condition and have an object which has far distance from background

    I agree
Portrait mode is very good when there's enough light
    And subject is still
Less light it'll be very softened
Gcam is only better for normal photos

Since Portrait photography is defined as capturing the personality of the subject using effective lighting, backdrops (or bokeh backgrounds), and poses, this seems to be spot on. Posed subjects normally do not move until time to alter the pose. Perhaps we should be requesting improvements for action photography and general "auto" mode for the quick snaps that have great color balance and detail.

But as for portrait mode? It's totally on point from a technical photography definition.

    Fully agree
    Portrait needs light by definition
Without light considering it's like a 80mm lense it'll quickly get high in ISO and be noisy. Or correct ISO but slower speed with blur on the subject.

The thing is that too many people use portrait mode with a lack of light
If there isn't enough light use normal mode

But I must admit that in correct conditions gcam has sharper image
If I compare the 3x zoom with a zoom of a gcam photo taken with normal lense the gcam one is sharper

    Some more comments
Seems like gcam is really more "yellow"
Sharper I must admit but this yellow touch is not my cup of tea

    Yellow touch is awful
Blue saturation is a bit too much
    But I prefer stock

@Manu J. I've been having to shoot pictures of human subjects for the last couple of days and am extremely extremely disappointed at how the software handles humans. It is so difficult to get usable pictures and is definitely anything but point and shoot. The telephoto lens frames pictures very well but is lacking in focus and sharpness under artificial light. You guys have a lot of things to figure out with regards to camera performance but my god atleast get faces and skin textures right. Looking back at the pictures I shot really make me wish I had a different phone in my pocket over the last two days.
