Just got a call from OnePlus (Bangalore). This was about the email I sent them 2 months back maintaining photo samples comparison between OnePlus 7 and Redmi Note 7 Pro camera. She said the mail has been forwarded to OnePlus Technical team.

Now, it feels great a have follow up calls from a company enquiring their customers about the issues they have been facing. Kudos to OnePlus. Thanks for being attentive towards the customers.

Also, it feels sad that they want you to believe that the poor quality from the stock camera is due to lens or, sensors rather than the camera software, the apk.

Yes, in return they asked me to send my unit of OnePlus 7 to service centre for check-up either physically visiting there or, by using pickup and drop service.

I told her that by going through the latest update tread in OnePlus community forum you can find out that I ain't the only user who has complained but a lot others.

If you have drain overnight you should use Naptime app. System doze mode works bad. When I use system doze mode I lose 4% in 4 hours, but when I use Naptime app I lose only 2%.

Now, i think Oneplus 6t was better and cheaper option as far as camera is concerned.

I have used OnePlus 6t in May-June 2019, stable or, beta build, after being 6 month in market and getting plenty of updates bettery and camera were performing better than OnePlus 7.

I found OnePlus 7's GCam ports are much versatile and stable than 6t due to its superior sensor and availablity and reach to more devices. Despite having an improved and upgraded sensor OnePlus is consuming time or, delaying to fix and push update for main issue: The Camera.

Camera is the only place where 7Pro gets to show its seniority. Courtesy: OnePlus.

I would say it's 5he same with the battery too. However it's sad that they're not at all addressing the camera issue. I remember the last time I went to 2 service centres, 2-3 customers were complaining about their camera in OP7. One of them had visited the service twice.

some times it does not response while I play with four fingers setup there must be an issue with this multi touch please fix this one with new update. it is not also my problem there are many OnePlus 7 users who are complaining about this.

This is my first OP device. was really excited for it. But soon enough after I started clicking pictures, I saw noisy pictures even with decent(artificial) lighting. So I thought maybe I got a defective piece.. but I saw a lot of people around me complaining the same.

In my opinion, the Sony IMX 586 isn't a bad sensor. Sure it uses stitching to give a 12mp shot. But c'mon. I really expected better quality pictures from a phone this expensive.

All the hype I had built up from seeing others use OnePlus devices is totally lost. Friends over in Android community say that the OP7 is overshadowed by it's upper tier sibling and probably won't carter this device as much. I had hopes initially but seeing no significant improvement over the last 3 months of updates, I must say I go disappointed.

OnePlus 7 wasn't really a never settle phone. it was a slightly less expensive product for the market that thought that the 7Pro was too expensive. I didn't see any OP Spokesperson speaking about addressing the issue on this device. Well why would they? this is a side project.

EDIT: I'd like a thread on this but apparently I'm too cupcake to make one.

There's no special doze implementation by naptime. its just makes existing system doze implementation more agressive. Means, time to enter doze while screen is off, Shutting aps, Disconnect wifi and mobile data, Disabling sensors etc. Thus the downside is no notifications, no service if you use health monitoring watches etc. This is how it decreases idle drain which is not ideal for many users.
