Just updated to Android 10 after the stable update being rolled out. Honestly my first opinion would be that OnePlus certain gave same features for user customization. But with that being said, I would also say that it comes at a price of a slight lagginess or slowness. Its certainly hard to open the recents from the home screen in one single attempt. It usually takes 3-4 attempts to open the recents from the home screen and you literally have to swipe till more than half the screen to open recents. Anyone else facing it???

not certain which variant of swipe you're using but this is what I'm using and all I have to do is flick it and it does what I need it to. it is customizable to say the least. even using the HydrogenOS Android 10 beta, my 6T runs very smooth. I like it a lot and I'm happy I downloaded it when they released it.

that said, it doesn't mean I'm not going to revert to the Oxygen flavor when they do release it to us plebians, lol.

Forgive an ignorant question, but if I bought an OP7, which is not sold here in the States through OP, it will still get Android 10 OTA, correct?

according to their release chart, yes

...and to add to that, it doesn't matter what country you by it from. I originally bought my 6T directly from OnePlus overseas, and it still qualifies for the upgrade as well. it just means you have an unlocked variant of the same phone sold in the states thru a cellular carrier. which in my humble opinion, you are a thousand times better off, then you are waiting and eternity for your carrier to release the updates for said phone, and I do mean an eternity.

to be honest, even running the HydrogenOS Android beta 10, my love and nostalgia faded away a long time ago.

however, I do appreciate what the beta 10 brings to the OS, it just hasn't rekindled my love for the 6T is all. it just never truly replaced the phone I had before this, like I thought it was going to, and all the extras it brought to the table. not to say this is a terrible phone, and if I didn't already know better, unfortunately I do and I have learned my lesson, I'll just not be buying another OnePlus phone is all when this one breaks.

I just really miss my stripped down Android with a twist of convenience my last phone had. and my old lady won't give it back to me, lol.

OK, another update... While 99% of things seem the same, I do seem to be having slight issue with phone calls or lack of signal reception... It can be a little bit hit and miss with the the phone just beeping and not connecting after trying to use a contact....

Its an odd one and not sure if the masts are struggling with the adverse weather (it is Britain after all... Leave on train lines, 1mm of snow bringing the county to a standstill and all that)... But will post again in a few days if things have not settled down.

Hopefully others who have updated may be able to enlighten me further as to whether this is an update issue or just the UK serices being the usual flakey UK services? Looking at you Three <<sigh>>

Other than that.... Good update experience from oneplus (compared to the problems I've had with other brands in the past).

you can the the majority of your updates via the phone. even when you're doing recovery installs you can still stick to the phone as long as everything is in root. are you moving ahead in builds or dropping down a build?
