thank u sharing the helpful tips, I'm planning to buy amazing OnePlus 7 pro .. I'm not a OnePlus 7 pro user now but I'm using some of them option to save my OnePlus 6 battery life.
like turning on battery saver and if I'm not traveling or no usage of GPS I'll will switch it off to save some battery.

in op6 we have grayscale option which willl turn device like black and white one where also we can save some battery life

With all due respect, you obviously didn't even read the first few sentences of this guy's post.

He very specifically answered your question in the very beginning, asking 'But why would I use these tips if the OP7P already has amazing battery life? Well, if you're on a plane or a long car trip and forgot your charger, hiking or traveling without a battery pack (he and I could give tons of examples), then there could be a possibility you may need to have some tricks up your sleeve to keep the battery going the entire day.

Please don't comment based off the title, if you have an I tent to comment PLEASE read the entire article.

range of video streaming, social media and a lot of calls and messaging for work
Blows my s9+ away. I notice my buddys s10 does better with battery but I accept that with the screen size difference

My OP7 pro battery life was really good when I bought it. But after my April security patch update or some kind of update it started going down. 90hz + QHD all the time does kill the battery though.
But still a huge fan of the device! Makes up with the performance and display!

Here's a couple more little tips to increase battery life.

    1. if you're using the 5G model of the OnePlus 7 Pro, you can go to Settings > Wi-Fi & Internet > SIM & network, under MOBILE DATA, change the 'Preferred network type' option to '4G/3G/2G (automatic)' – this is handy if you don't need to utilise the 5G network and/or if 5G hasn't been rolled out yet where you are, this will prevent the phone attempting to find a 5G network.

    2. use an AMOLED wallpaper; the OnePlus uses AMOLED technology, so if you have a wallpaper that's utilising a lot of true-black within it, the screen won't light up that specific pixel on the display (there is no backlight on an AMOLED screen, each pixel produces its own light, so if true-black is used, power isn't used to light up that pixel).

I think the battery backup is improved in latest 9.5.8
    Wifi usage - 50%
    Mobile data usage - 50%
    Location always on
Bluetooth earphones connected all the time
    90hz and qhd..

Easily getting 8 to 8.5 hrs SOT. screenshot taken at 14%
