Yes, CM 12.1 is quite stable! I have the latest version in my OPO. No problem so far!

One major advantage to installing Oxygen OS is that you also install TWRP as part of the process. With TWRP you can backup your existing installation and restore it whenever you want. I've been able to switch back and forth between Oxygen OS and CM 12S. I just keep the latest backup of each on my phone and restore it when I want to switch.

Apologies if this has been asked before but don't want to start a new thread. How regular are OP1 updates? Are they similar to the Nexus releases? I suppose it's likely to change with OxygenOS, seems similar to stock, but if anyone has any info, would be much appreciated!

Have decided not to flash Oxygen on my OPO but will get it with a new OP2. I like Cyanogen & have no complaints so this approach makes sense to me.

this is a new rom so updates may roll out after OP2 is released, the updates will be recovery flashable I think. Most OP1 users flash custom roms so third party support is there. Updates are for official stock cyanogen os and oxygen os bit slower than nexus.

I really should have never updated to Lollipop... Battery decay within a day. I think I will reinstall CM11 and wait until CM12S arrives.

So far, despite the fact that I am curious to try out the Oxygen OS, I haven't because CM12 has been working great just for me. I still haven't been motivated to switch, maybe a few bells and whistles will be added to the OS in the not too distant future to motivate a switch.

I have heard this a lot, that is why I have still stuck to my CM12. As the saying goes,"if it ain't broken, don't fix it." :)
