mate look at this, I'm sure you're doing something wrong when it comes to battery backup. I have 64% battery left, 5.6 hours of SOT and PUBG took 23% battery.

I'm still pretty happy with the battery backup, even on the beta builds. I see people complaining about betas, they don't get what Betas are. Still, all in all, great battery backup on this phone.

If you do not know, how to get more light to you sensor, you should not complain about the camera, because it shows other users here that you seem to have no clue about photography basics.
How to get more light to your sensor:
Set up your shutter timing in combination with the ISO to a value that fits your needs best. Shutter timing longer than AROUND 1/ 60 sec. needs : Steady hands, (get some shooting training, belive me, this helps a lot!) a tripod / gimbal will be necessary when you set up Shutter timing to longer than AROUND 1/15 sec. Personally i do not use a tripod / gimbal- i m using my steady hands and some help i find on the place i m making the picture. like using a fence, a stone etc. to put the phone on so it s easier to achieve non blurry picture. As lower the iso value,as more light you ll need, as higher the ISO value as more noise you ll get. As longer the shutter timing is set, as more light you ll get on the sensor, but the risk to get blurry pictures is higher. ( Tripod...)
If you need more information, go to photography section, there are some tutorials how to get the best out of your camera.

everything you say is true. except these aren't basics for some people, basics for some people are just point and click. especially true for non-tech-savvy people

Even this people have to learn, or just stop complaining. Actually modern smartphone cameras are able to shoot decent pictures under conditions , when some older DSLR s and analogue cameras wouldn t work. As Kevin Abosh said at hamburg camera event: " Sometimes a kind of message should come out of the phone- " Hey, it s too dark, maybe it s not a good idea to shoot a picture now..." ;-)

that would be better, or how about an AI algorithm that adjusts pro settings according to best tradeoff between noise and detail

there are 2 Modes you can setup in pro mod so you can get fast access to (for example) a nightmode or a sportmode.
An AI is not a good idea, since it s a matter very subjective decisions. i prefer so tell my camera what I want, i prefer to contron my device and not getting controlled by it.
