If the sound is at its highest setting, it is difficult to talk. This is a general problem. Many users like me are experiencing this problem in my country. In Turkey...

This is the beta thread so no OTA form stock. Check the Official Nougat thread and either wait for the OTA to be available in your location or follow the instructions for the VPN if you impatient.

My 2 cents worth on Beta 11.

IMHO, if OnePlus' Carl Pei made an error, it was to state that Nougat would be rolled out before the end of 2016. Whilst this may have seemed, "do-able", back in October/November of 2016 it was soon evident from Beta releases 8 & 9 that, as with all new firmwares, there were problems.

However, such was the hysteria whipped up by the promise of Nougat before 2017 arrived, that OnePlus went to the wire on New Years Eve and released OxygenOS 4.0 which was based on the Beta 8 & 9 releases as there was not enough time for feedback and assimilation of the 28 Dec: Beta 10 release.

Knowing that 4.0 was less than perfect, I think that rather than committing to a worldwide roll out, OnePlus decided to do a small, limited, release as a face saver. Thanks to VPN's, this release went global and its shortcomings soon became apparent.

In an effort to repair this they rushed out a, "hotfix", update, 4.0.1, a week later in response to the adverse criticism for 4.0. Whilst this offered some solutions, it was once again obvious that 4.0.1 was less than desirable and its roll out has been very gradual since, in effect, the official stock users had now become the Beta testers themselves.

We are now hearing rumours that yet another release, 4.0.2, which once again may serve as another, "hotfix", and depending on its reception, may also be on a limited roll out whilst its effectiveness is tested.

This brings me to Beta 11. Some on here seem to think that a new Beta firmware will be released every 2 weeks on a Wednesday. This is NOT true. As per their mission statement for Open Beta, here, they clearly state that their aim is to offer "approximately", 2 open Beta releases a month as opposed to the official releases, every month or two. These Beta releases could be at any time and within days/hours of one another, depending on the needs of OnePlus' software engineers.

I believe that at this moment, OnePlus' priority is getting a stable official release out a.s.a.p. Once they have something like that in the pipeline they can once again turn to Beta testers with releases that add features, enhancements and improvements, for the future and begin testing Android 7.1.1 at some stage.

Given the above, the dedicated and experienced Beta testers amongst us know that we must now wait patiently for OnePlus' software engineers to catch up and request our help. We also know that in development circles, it is very, very, bad form to ask or demand E.T.A.s. In fact, it is considered downright rude!

So, in the meantime we can continue with Beta 10 or, if you are a novice and must have the absolute latest release, come what may, you can flash the official 4.0.1 or 4.0.2, when it is released, firmware.

Hopefully, Carl Pei has learnt not make any rash firmware promises in future and the OnePlus dev's can get us back on track soon. Until that time, here is a little ditty that my grey haired grandmother used to recite...

    "Patience is a virtue,
    Possess it if you can.
    Seldom found in a woman,
    Never in a man!
    " ;)

A compliment like that from one's peers and with your standing, is appreciated. However, I am not so sure about, "Sainthood", as it is my understanding that to become a saint you must first be dead!

My immediate plans are a lot less terminal and involve a pub. :D
