    Hey everyone,

Here are the latest open beta builds for OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T.

    Changelog
    • System
      • Updated Android security patch to 2019.03
      • Improved lock screen interface
      • Improved sensitivity for screen rotation
    • Messages
      • Now able to select contact groups for sending SMS
Please keep in mind that this is beta software. These builds are sometimes not as stable as our official OTAs generally are. By installing this update, you accept the potential risks. We look forward to getting your continued feedback in the bug reporting forum here: https://forums.oneplus.com/feedback/

We have integrated the Feedback tool into Community App and you can report bugs and share Logs directly to our bug hunters via the Community App.

To submit a new bug report

Community app > Profile > Feedback > click on + icon > select a category > fill in the details attach screenshots if any > submit (the tool will capture logs based on the category)

In some cases, you might have to record the logs for a longer period and reproduce the issue before you can submit a bug report. For example, network drops:
Community app > Profile > Feedback > click on + icon > select a category > fill in the details attach screenshots if any > start recording (the app records logs in the background) > once the issue has been reproduced > Stop Recording > submit

Do try out the new Feedback tool, it is now much easier and simpler for our community to report bugs and share feedback with us. If you have any questions or need help, please contact Bughunters@oneplus.com, for more information on submitting bugs or suggestions refer
How to report a bug and share your product suggestions on OnePlus community

    Please note:
    • If you have already flashed an Open Beta (you are currently running the latest Open Beta), you will receive this new build as an OTA.
    • If you are not running open beta software and would like to, please refer to the flashing instructions and the full ROM on the downloads page here
    • Once you migrate to the beta path, you will continue to receive Open Beta OTAs. You will no longer receive the regular Official Stable OTAs.
    • Moving back to the Official OTA path from the Beta path will require a full install and clean flash (full wipe of all data and cache).

Make sure to let us know how you feel about the beta builds here in the thread too. We are watching.

    Never Settle.

Great work, but can't really see any changes.

By the way, I hope the 2 Betas per month will be back on track now that MWC is over.

POST #3 (unless you are viewing this on the OnePlus Community app, in which case it is post #2)

WARNING! Open Beta releases are for competent and experienced users since they may not always be stable and are for the purposes of testing and reporting to OnePlus to help them develop future stock firmware and features. By installing this Open Beta, you accept the potential risks. Once on the Open Beta pathway you will no longer receive the regular OnePlus, Official Stable OTA's and you will need to completely wipe your phone before attempting to return to Official Stable OnePlus stock firmware.

This explains the Open Beta schedule and how to report bugs and issues...

    OxygenOS Beta Program: Explained.

[LEAVING OPEN BETA] If, for any reason, you wish to leave the Open Beta programme and return to the OnePlus stock, stable OxygenOS releases, this will entail contacting OnePlus Support...

    https://www.oneplus.com/uk/support/contact

Alternatively, for competent and experienced users, there is the OnePlus tool for the 6T and McLaren. Just head over to the xda developers forum by following these links...

    OnePlus 6T MsmDownloadTool v4.0.58 (OOS v9.0.11) 6T Global model

OnePlus McLaren MsmDownloadTool ROM McLaren model

(If you have any questions regarding the use of the MsmDownloadTool, please ask them on the xda developers forum and do not clog up the Open Beta thread)

Competent and experienced users of the OnePlus 6 can use a, "roll-back", firmware in Local upgrade to go back to Android Oreo and then upgrade to the latest stock, stable, OnePlus firmware for Pie. See...

    Rollback from Open Beta 11/12/13/14 to 9.0.4 - Non-root 6 model

There are also, numerous videos covering, "roll-back", on YouTube

(If you have any questions regarding the use of the, "roll-back", firmware, please ask them on the xda developers forum and do not clog up the Open Beta thread. This, "roll-back", firmware is not compatible with the 6T or McLaren. )

If you have the McLaren OnePlus 6T you, "may", lose the McLaren Warp Charge animation/facility by flashing this Beta firmware.

(N.B. Open Beta is not available for the non stock, 6T T-Mobile carrier minority variant)

You just have to do this with every Beta. ;)
But unfortunately, there will still be people complaining about issues which they should actually report!

Just grabbed the 2/27 file and joined the beta via local install, I assume the OTA will be a bit later on after?

Also, having flashed from a TMO device, have others had success in doing this?

I don't mean to just ask the redundant "Can this hypothetically be done" question, but actual real world experience with the process going from a locked TMO image to a global image to the Open Beta program?

    So far... so good! :D

Been on this latest Beta 6 for 10 hours and no issues. Obviously it is too early to say about battery life. Will go through 2 or 3 charge cycles before commenting.
