No need to factory reset bro. Just flash via sideload and wipe cache from stock recovery

To go from stable to beta is very easy to do without a pc, what I'm asking is go back from beta to stable..

In Nexus/pixel program if I'm beta the only thing I have to do is factory reset and we are ready to go again on stock. Is the same with oneplus beta program?

For me from stock recovery only sideload worked and that requires PC of course

The answer is not on first page, what I asked is very simple. I didn't asked "How go back to stable from beta". I asked if the beta program on oneplus is the "same" in Nexus/pixel programs to revert to stock.

You do not have to factory reset. Don't wipe anything. Try it and see

My bad. I thought you were referring to that dual app crap people keep wanting.

You are the network usage by day guy right? Only for JIO? Best best is to learn to code and mod one of the OpenSource ROMs. OnePlus can't even fix simple bugs and can't be bothered to add simple features that EVERYONE wants, like a white-screen flash on the front camera. Do you know how simple that is? You think they'll add a whole new feature just for you?

Thanks, if you do a factory reset on your phone (if you are in beta 9 in this case) this will be revert to stock OxygenOs right?

From stable to beta it is not necessary to delete data, but the opposite is true.

    What?

A factory reset will format the /data partition. If you are running Windows, installed to drive C and you format drive D, what happens?

The ROM installs to /system (drive C) so whatever was there is still there. Factory reset doesn't touch it, nor is it usually necessary.

Exactly, the OS version won't change but it will be a clean install.

No. I've gone back and forth without problems. You may have to fix a few settings and if anything crashes, reinstall that one app. If a bunch of apps crash, wipe dalvik. A full factory reset isn't necessary

Yeah, I don't like to use pc to updates. I like clean/simple/fast way.

In Nexus line we receive OTA to beta and factory reset from beta to stock.

Don't speak. If you don't know the answer, be silent. A factory reset will not switch you from beta to stable.

You would need a whole extra system partition for that, which OnePlus has, but doesn't use.

No it's not the same like the Google beta program.
If you want to revert back from op beta to stable.
You have to flash the stable os full zip file.
This can be done with a factory reset first and flash official os zip or flash official os zip first and then factory reset
    The former one is preferred.
But alternatively you can take a bet by just dirty flash ( no wipes) of the official os over the beta build and see, as this way has worked for some people who has posted so, that after doing so they haven't had any issue.
