I personally think that one plus team has lowered the screen brightness for more SOT(just a guess)

right now, pie is more important.
and there is uproar in community for updates all the time, I am sure the dev team will find some time.
and it's fine for general usage. Google doesn't give any special things with their apps too.
when OnePlus will get tired they will allow those apps.
OnePlus music failed so we have play music..

That's my point as they don't have enough resources they should focus on important things and let other things go for a while.

My answer was of why digital wellbeing is not included in this version. Anyway can you help me any link or workaround for getting this feature without root on op6.

@Manu J. Please add Phone app (Dialler) based on Google Phone v23 or higher as new Material design is amazing.

because it's pixel Exclusive. No other devices come with it other than pixels officially.

But there are better options in the market. Let user use them till then instead pulling them.

Has anyone else noticed a random square on the ambient display? It stays there permanently and is present even when there are no notifications.

    Hey Guys,'

I didn't use beta 1 but directly downloaded beta 1 and then beta 2 via ota as I didn't want to full wipe.

Got a couple of questions regarding beta 1 for those who have been using it with dual sim.

    1. What is the average SoT you guys got with moderate-high daily usage on wifi/4g. (Used to get 6h on average on 5.11 by keeping second sim in 2g and disabling dual 4g networks)

    2. Used to have some call issues on 5.11 (the other person on the line used to say that I sounded muffled quite often - not sure if network or microphone issue). Did anyone face anything like this on beta 1?

    3. Was beta 1 good enough to use as a daily driver (I know there are/were/still some undiscovered bugs) but did it create any real time problems beside the phone volume adjustment?

Note: I did not full wipe before moving to beta 2 via beta 1. Cleared cache both times.

Thanks in advance for whomever answers my questions. Much appreciated :)

there are always better options indeed. and choice for users.. beauty of Android.
They wanted to develop own apps, nothing wrong with that.
They are working on the updates, only matter of time things will be better.

and more importantly we don't know what kind of deal Google requires for usage of such apps in OS and if OnePlus is even ready to do that.
Not many OEM provides such apps as default.

Google this " Digital Wellbeing OnePlus 6 no root" you will find a way in XDA ....and know that 'wind down' feature wont work only the Dashboard

Actually go to Digital Wellbeing apkmirror (trusted site) and download the apk install it .
go to playstore digital wellbeing shortcut bridge creator there is app install that u r good to go.

Digital Wellbeing is at the moment exclusive to Pixel devices on Android P and is in beta for them too.
Probably will roll out with Pixel 3 on Android 9.1 maybe.
