I am sure they can take more time and effort for 5 and 5Ts or even older devices, but now it just seems like they don't care about the older gen, but only selling new devices. I mean even OP6's OTA has already comes out, but not even beta for older devices? Isn't it telling us to buy new devices?

I get your sarcasm. But, as a customer, you have to feedback what's bad, to make the company better.

Technical codes man. I'm not talking about spec. Do you really think it was that easy to make an OS? (I know how hard and time consuming it is to cook it coz I used to make one for Symbian series 60 back in the day) This is near stock Android, not Stock Android itself like on Pixel and Android One. OnePlus, not Google.

It will come. But the OnePlus 6/6T should have it first. That was understandable. It's their latest device. And the 5 series is next.

You have no idea how to make an OS yet here you are judging that it was too long to make. Jeez. I am expecting it this Xmas or New year when Pie was released last Aug 6. It's just October. SMH

Just because we purchased their devices doesn't mean we are entitled to demand how fast the company should work. That goes for any company too.

So, Oxygen OS in op6 is totally different from op5s? Is that why they need to work so long for op5s?

The framework is different. Way different. Let's not mistakenly think cooking an OS is as easy as making an app. Actually making an app is not as easy too. It needs a lot of coding, testing, trial and error. A bugged OS can harm the hardware (meaning our devices). So I'd rather wait.

The fact that I know that it will come is good enough.

By showing such unnecessary updates, we show that we always keep updating users of OnePlus. Oneplus is not the company's failure to get the pie update so far.[e]1f616[/e][e]1f616[/e][e]1f616[/e][e]1f616[/e]

And what would you be saying if they didn't release anything? I can bet you'd still be whining. You know that there are changes made to complicated for you to understand that aren't put in the changelog.

Even thought they didn't released the update. i wouldn't have whinned. Better to add major changes to change logs rather than keeping it hidden. And no need to keep betting in every comment to justify you statement

OnePlus CEO Pete Lau confirmed that the Android 9 of OnePlus 5&5t is delayed up to end of this year so i already expected this. oneplus is now focusing on their upcoming OP6T with Android pie out of the box and brand new ui experience.

Dude, the Essential phone is Stock Android that is why it was the next company to release Pie update after the Pixel and even before Android One. Essential din not baked in anything to the Stock. Only the OS ID. And owned by the guy who originally made Android with Google. Andy Rubin. Even his name suggest Android is his. c'mon!

Oxygen OS has lots of customization features that no Stock Android has (yet). OnePlus needs to bake all of them in Pie.

Have you ever use a Hammerhead, a Shamu or an Angler? If you don't know what I was talkin' about then you shouldn't even be complaining.
