Really? An update is still an update and indicates oneplus are still working on it.

in the interview he said they are initially as one update but due to consumer demand of updates they might be separated...
agreed. but the same comment from many users goes for pages and pages..... kind of not good to see in a thread....

I'm sure the devs are even now pouring over the bug report you've submitted for ob13

that's sad. Bug hunters are good team and work on bugs, it seems the focus has moved on OP5 and other devices would not be taken very seriously.

Kind of stupid thing to say given that often the beta was ahead in security patches and never behind the mainline.

The significant risk is not to be attacked with a specific onetime bug in a beta version that is installed by maybe one or two thousand phones (at best), the significant risk is when a generic attack is launched against millions of unpatched phones and your OnePlus is one of them since the company does not care that much about security patches.

Not at all a beta release is much more likely to have unidentified security holes in the new features than the stable build is.

Oh, but there are, the fact that you have no clue about those does not make those go away.

Yes, but as I already said in my post (which you still seem too incompetent to understand) nobody from the heavy exploit attackers cares about an attack that is good on 1000 phones (at most), they only start from one million targets and up.

Monthly security updates are more about appearances than anything, seriously vulnerabilities should be dealt with at once not once a month, it's all about giving the appearance of security, c.f Microsoft monthly patches.

Not THAT stupid since "beta testers" are supposed to be more experienced users who know what they're doing and how to protect themselves better than the average user...

True and that is why security patch is 4 month old. I think this is not the case with beta in software industry. This seems like running legacy version.
