OxygenOS Open Beta 23 for the OnePlus 5 and Open Beta 21 for OnePlus 5T

Are you trolling? You don't think I know what beta's are? The fix will roll out to the next beta update when the testing is completed. Then when OP sees that most of the issues are fixed then the stable will roll out. Stop acting like you know it all when you don't.

Did I say you? OMG. Yes I don't know it all. Yet I'm not the one facing problems. And I'm the one posting solutions on how to fix those problems.

Keep it simple, man. Do what you said earlier. Do not waste your time with me. Bye!

Well I have the reboot issue and your claiming that everyone with the reboot issue just didn't load the beat correctly and don't know how betas work. So you did include me and many others. Don't try to claim that everyone is doing something wrong just because your one of the few who don't have problems. We don't know what is causing the reboot issue, but it is effecting the OP5/T and the latest OP6 beta. So please just stop assuming and claiming that we are the problem when clearly the beta has the problem.

Then we won't have a problem.

Agreed I did load the beta in a way similar as you mentioned no reboot issues etc here too.

Betas are not as simple as it's looks!

Yes they aren't. Yet some are always playing the blaming game and not look upon themselves if they too made a mistake or error. It's always the devs fault for them.

There is always a workaround even if the better solution will be released by OnePlus.

Enfim obrigado!

Hi, first time poster on this forum!

I've played around with installing custom ROMs in the past, however when I bought the OnePlus 5T I decided to keep it on stock.

Now I'm kinda itching to test Android 9.0 Pie and from what I'm reading the open beta is good enough to be my daily driver.

So I went to download it tonight and upon installing it via the "Local Upgrade" method I was greeted by the following message:

The package you selected is earlier than the current version. This may lead to failure to boot due to data compatibility issues. Are you sure you want to install the old version?

    Obviously I cancelled the operation.
To make a long story short, I triple checked that I downloaded the right file, which I did, and I checked the MD5 checksum (on my computer and on my phone) and it doesn't match what's on the download page (see screenshots below).

Has anyone encountered that message before? Is it safe to ignore?
Had the MD5 matched, I'd have probably carried on with the upgrade, but I can't risk bricking my phone over something like this.

    Cheers,

    Alex

I did not encounter that as I never liked the Local Update method. Actually I also almost never check the checksum info.

What version does your device have now? Do you have your bootloader unlocked? Are you willing to reset to Factory format?
Do you already have the ADB files needed on your computer?
Sorry for all the questions. We need that for me to be able to help.

Also need to know, what computer you use? If you are on Mac, I could def help you. If not, sorry. I can only give the line commands needed for the process. It's been a long time since I've used Windows.
