Have you followed the usual Open Beta testers procedure and done a Factory Reset?

I'm new to open beta from this day...and everything is pretty good for now..battery on my OnePlus 6 better than the stable..n everything works fine
Only issue I face is the animation are not as smoother than stable builds especially while opening apps and scrolling on chrome n only chrome is glitchy ... awkward but true while on Facebook ..Instagram seems fine

I know the risks of installing a beta version, but every company has a different conception of it.

does it break the excellent battery life often to do so on the OnePlus?

I know silly question but I can live with different bugs to give feedback ... battery life is unfortunately on my priority list.

Only if you're returning to stable do you have to do a full wipe/factory reset. Stable to beta, no wipe needed.

Hello everyone. Last week I had installed the android q developer preview 3 to see the progress. There in the expanded screen shot a glitch would cause cause the lower end to get cramped up. But knowing it is a beta build a didn't care much. However upon rolling back to pie and getting Open beta 23 on my ONEPLUS 6 I saw that the glitch remained.I reported to ONEPLUS regarding this, just wanted to know of it is an issue with my unit or a big in general with open beta 23. I've attached a screenshot, look at the lower end of the shot.

Open beta allows you to test new features that are not ready for stable release.
Stable will have more thoroughly tested features and fewer bugs and problems.
But going from open beta to stable will require a full data wipe.
